Unless it's a setting in the head unit.... I haven't memorized the manual or really done any digging about it. It's not that important for my comfort.

I think it was because those things were poorly designed and annoying.

I don't think it's in the headunit or part of P&T. My Sport has auto up&down on both the fronts without P&T.

Maybe it's a regional thing? We already know Toyota does that.

My 2018 SR5 has auto down only on drivers side. Would be sweet if you could swap out the switches and gain auto up/down on both fronts, but it sounds like it’s impossible.

The auto windows is such a strange thing for them to remove. I guess I could see maybe taking out the bedside storage on some models but why not leave it on the OR and PRO packages.

My guess is they deleted those items because people don't use them. I rarely use the bed box. Not because it isn't handy, but I forget it is there and when I do remember that I stored some tie downs in there, they have typically vanished by that point. As for the Go Pro, I don't see myself ever buying one so it is wasted on me. That likely was a marketing deal between Toyota and Go Pro that expired.

I really like the bed box, I keep rope and tow strap in there, the storage is convenient. I am also planning on using the Go pro for a Dash Cam, that will be better than sticky tape of a vacuum cup. The Auto down and up front windows are quite nice too.

What is this thing over the rear wheel wells on your 2017 you speak of?

They had small square storage pockets above the wheel wells on earlier 2nd Gens.

When questioning why Toyota does something, always assume that things are done because they hate you.

More evidence of Toyota hating you. You don't deserve a Go Pro mount and what's with the lazy fingers? Auto up/auto down - catering to lazy babies. That and Toyota hates you (did I mention that?)

Fill in the missing letter to uncover the real reason.

    Toyota h_tes you.

I found those holes kinda useless, the back ones were nice and you could add locks if you like. At least they have front d rings in the box floor, unlike 2nd gens. Why Toyota didn't have d rings in all 4 corners baffles me.

Why would you think Toyota hates you? They are just doing cost cutting.

That's what I would have thought before perusing the third gen forums.

Now I am convinced they hate us all. You included. Don't think you get a pass. Their hate for you is palpable.

Because they hate us. 4 D rings would be useful and make perfect sense.

The only logical explanation is the well-documented hate that Toyota has for its customers.

    1. No power seat - they hate you and want you to have sciatica.

    2. Harmonic resonance - they hate you and want you to turn up your radio - prematurely wearing out the speaker before the warranty expires. Also, see "Entune" below. This is literally the Sophie's choice that Toyota hates us into making - listen to your rear end howl or be forced to use entune. Pure fucking evil.....

    3. Ugly Sport and OR grills - they want to make your eyes bleed because of all their hate. Then they force you to buy a pro grill then won't sell it to you because you didn't buy a pro. Hat trick of hate.

    4. Entune - pure unadulterated hate.

    5. rear drums - Because they hate us and think we don't deserve disks.

I could continue, but you probably see the clear and logical common denominator here. Toyota hates us all.

@skiploder is having a rough day. Or, is it the 3rd Gen forum having a rough day? I can't tell . . .

But really, do you think the savings will be shuffled on to the customer? Naw. It’s most likely used to finance a new beach house for the CEO.
