Wondering if bed sizes is the same to use Current Bed accesories, bed mat and TruXPort tonneau cover. Particularly the tailgate edge

The bed is the same size but different tailgate and bedsides so we will have to wait and see.

Ugh OK thanks. I have a tentative buyer for my truck when the 16s come out and wondering what I should keep if I like the 16 enough to buy one.

I intend to....I won't purchase from pictures, "reviews" or ad copy. I am not afraid of the new engine as it's used is the Lexus. But there could be other gremlins that appear.

The prices could be sky high as well making it a foolish financial decision without getting a lot more for the money. I actually bought the 15 because I wanted a new Taco while I still had a choice and cold get exactly what I wanted in case I did not care for the 16. If I like the truck and can get into it for $5000 spread I will buy it. Anymore than that and I sit pat and happy.

before you buy a 15 ... Look it over really well. Heck any car purchase one should check out the vehicle.

I never purchase a vehicle I have not seen or driven.

That's the decision point. I'd not fret over it, or a 'tenative' buyer, until they are available for you to see and test drive.

Same exact bed dimensions. Composite bed liner is carry over. Even though Mike "Seatbelt Bracket" Sweers would say otherwise.

In this video an Executive program manager says they made the bed deeper, not sure by how much.

Yeah, but overall width and height are the same. Depth might be a smidge more due to higher paneling. You won't be able to get a fatter ATV in there or anything.

Width and the length are same but the height is slightly taller. No one said bed was wider or longer, that's why I posted that video.

Some people are suggesting that only the front of the box by the back window is going to be higher. And the rest of the box is exactly the same. But from that video and another interview I saw. It sounds like it will be a inch or so higher. We will have to wait and see.

I noticed the bed on the Colorado goes clear up to my nipples. It has a real high bed. Then again, it seems the rear of the Colorado is a lot higher than the front. Part of the reason the Colorado looks weird to me is how it slopes downward. Might look better with a leveling kit.

That statement irritates me. Like toyota or Mike were trying to decieve buyers, they should know better, lots of carry overs are evident. steering wheel, bed, etc.

I think the issue will be the spoiler on the new tailgate that makes it slightly longer, otherwise it should fit similar, that and the fact the bed is higher up for gen 3, level with the rear window bottom.
