I recently sold my '99 Tacoma (with 280,000 miles) and bought a used '15 TRD Sport, access cab with 20,000 miles. After some initial concerns about giving up the GEN 1, I'm getting more familiar with the GEN 2 and liking it more and more. One thing that is really annoying is that the TRD Sport decals on the bed sides are both crooked. When I measure from the bedside cap to the decals, they are perfectly parallel. Problem is, there are two body lines (one above and one below the decals) that are parallel to each other, but not to the decals or bed rail caps. The body line are raked down at the front, which makes the decals look like they are drooping down at the rear. My decals are silver with gray trim. The dealer says they are listed as red, and has to special order them...for $78.00 each, plus tax. I've seen pre-facelift TRD Sports with red, white & black decals, but mine are post facelift decals and I want to keep it original. Does anyone have information on how to get the correct colors...maybe even part numbers?
    Thanx!

If the decals are parallel with the bed cap, they will appear crooked, due to the body lines.

    Check this thread:

As far as what color decal you have, they may have been different depending on the color of the truck. It sounds like the previous owner installed the decals. I'm wondering if you have a genuine Sport, or if it's just the decals that got added. Do you have the color matched mirrors, and hood scoop?

As for new decals, check Ebay. You should be able to get whatever color combo you want. If you want something custom, check this guy out:

Check with @CBoy808 he can custom make you the decals of your choosing. My two 3 color TRD Sport decals together shipped were less than what the dealer quoted you for one.

Yes...it's a genuine TRD Sport. Color matched bumpers, grill surround, door handles and mirrors w/hood scoop. The wheels have been changed, but the spare is a 265/65 r 17 Bridgestone Dueler. And the VIN checks out too. All original factory/dealer paperwork jive as well. I finally found a dealer who knows his stuff and he was able to source the correct decal. The new decal doesn't come with any installation instructions, so I'll just guide off the correct body lines. I'll just do the worst side first and if I screw it up I'll go to plan "B" and take Murauder's advise and go sans decals.

I used a credit card to get the edge started. Then peeled by hand. Removed adhesive with Goo Gone then cleaned with diluted isopropyl alcohol.

Use a hair drier to loosen the advise and a credit card to get underneath it. Take your time and don't scratch the paint

So...I removed the most crooked one and it does look pretty good with no decal at all. I'll just eyeball it for a few days before I decide to go with new decals...or
    O' Natural.
