Beeping when truck rolls backwards in drive

Is it normal for when your on a hill in drive and the truck rolls backwards to here a beeping noise and the rear wheel to lock?

 

Yes. It's part of the traction control/ stability control system.

Totally understand. I found reading the owners manual while taking my daily constitutional was very helpful. I learned a lot. Like don't worry if you hear a whirring sound from under your truck after it's sat for 4-5 hours. It's a fuel vapor recycler. You can download the Tacoma owners app for free. When you enter in your VIN it will give you the owners manuals on your phone. Plus maintenance records etc. it has a search feature you can type in a couple words and it will direct you. And it's free!

I see you have an OR. I have a sport so some things are different. You have crawl control and a few other features I don't. Your backup beep might be different than mine.

 

To funny I was thinking the same thing. Hey everybody is new at least once. I saw he was --------- . That temporary? He was totally disgruntled, but occasionally provided good info.

 

If you roll down a hill backwards in drive the truck may shut off. I did that on the trail today. Lol
