I was wondering if before returning a truck to the dealership you could strip out any aftermarket parts, tires, stereo equipment, etc. and replace it with the OEM parts before handing it over. I would assume if the truck has what it came with they would not care otherwise.

I checked my 99 reg. cab, 4x4 and there is no sign of rust that I could find. My truck came from Northern Mass. so I thought it might have been affected but not from what I can see. I am still going to put it up on a hoist and have a closer look.

So for any one that has to return your truck due to the buy out if you have extra parts I or someone might be able to use them. Don't let the dealership make the extra cash because they are going to give you BB price any way. Since you are going to take the buy out and by a 2nd generation truck, lol, you might not have a need for those parts anymore. I do need a good set of tires, 33’s would work. Seriously thought if you have extra parts and the shipping would not be too much of a hassle I might be able to take those off your hands.

    Thanks and take care,
    JB
