    I’d love to mount two big round yellow fog BD LP9’s behind my stock TRD OR grille. Plenty of space.

    looking for a mounting solution.

    I have all the parts collected to install the Pro6 lights on my gen3 next week, or at least I hope I do. Can I not just mount the horns on the BAMF mount?

    not easily. The horn wires are REALLY short so unless you want to start bending brackets and lengthening wires, my solution is best. Flip them around so the face in and use the same mounting holes they came from the factory. This basically puts the horns behind the bracket all together. I cannot remember if I flipped them AND had to swap them left to right but that will be obvious if you want to keep the original wires. Remember the mounting hole also acts as the ground for the horn so that was another thing I didn’t want to mess around with. After you flip them and tighten the bolt down, grab them and bend them out a bit so they don’t touch the radiator fins. Mine were really close so a little bend gave me some clearance.

    another thing may be obvious but your BAMF bracket is upside down in your picture. Intuitively it looks like it would go that way but the center pointy part actually bolts to the center radiator support and faces down. You will need to drill a hole for the bolt.

    Also, fwiw I was confused by the hardware provided. Here’s what I found;

    two long hex heads take place of stock screws on the two outer bracket mounts. Use the washer provided. The shorter hex head with nyloc nut is used for the hole you drill in the center support. It’s aluminum or thin steel so it was like butter. Lastly there was a HUGE short hex bolt. Maybe that’s for another gen truck but I found no use for it.

    hope that’s useful/helpful to ya!

    Ha! "drill a hole for the bolt" Drilling toward the radiator fins - what could go wrong?

    Lmfao right??? Luckily you will see when you get in there the support is some sort of C shape so you are only drilling through the first layer and therefore you have some protection from a costly mistake LOL

    Like butter thanks to some advice I got from Col4bin.

    I used the furthest outboard slots on the BAMF mount.

    Looks dope!! I’ve been planning to do this for a minute too, behind a mesh grille, but haven’t had the guts to pull the trigger on the LP9s I covet. Corona cabin fever might get me over the edge though.
