Bell housing chip

I have a feeling this little chip in the bell housing is not normal and will be costly.

Thoughts?

 

While the photo is isn't real clear what going on (even when I save and enlarge) it doesn't look like anything risky off hand.

What is your concern regarding that spot?

looks like maybe at sometime that spot was pried on or pushed on when removing or installing things

Unless the holes starts cracking in a very large way

I would not be real excited about it.

If your one that things need to be perfect then get a new Bell Housing

 

Is that a hole? JB weld that sumbitch. 1st gen Tacomas don't go down easy.

 

Almost looks like it was created deliberately ? as others have mentioned , plug it up to keep the wet away from your clutch and you should be good to go
