    hey, changing belts on my v6 here soon, was just wondering if theres a better than oem belt out there? i need all of them, including the timing belt, and i want belts that are going to work for a long time...

    Personally, the standard belts you buy at the auto stores are fine. They should last you atleast past (or longer) than the required maintenance interval.

    Especially when it comes to timing belts - if you exceed the recommended service interval, you're taking the chance of it breaking at anytime. Regardless of how 'good' a belt looks on the outside, that's not a determination of the condition of the belt on the inside. They can snap at any given time without warning.

    Broken and scratched tailgate, cracked rear tail light lens, coffee stain in driver seat.
    Janster is right, especially the timing belt, if that goes south at highway speed, outlook is bleak !
