Best 4x4 tracks in Sonoma County?

Especially ones that lead to a good hiking trail or remote campground. I'm new to the area. Thanks.

 

I’m wondering this also. Would be cool to do some mild trails not in my twenty’s anymore LOL

 

Sub’d for both Napa and Sonoma counties.

Really want to get out and go camping more.

 

Seems like there aren't as many opportunities as I expected...maybe due to the fact that so much of the land is private and agricultural. At the very least I want to be getting the truck out for its monthly 4x4 constitutional.

 

Knoxville OHV is out by Lake Berryessa. I haven't played around there yet though

 

Mendocino NF is your best bet. From Santa Rosa you can be on dirt out of upper lake in less than 2 hours. Otherwise you'll probably have to befriend a farmer if you want to drive off-road in Sonoma County.

 

Go north or east until you get to National Forest roads.
Then explore.
