What would people say is the best Acoustic guitar, American made, all solid wood? And 1,000 and under? Doesn't have to be Acoustic/Electric. And it has to be new in condition. NO LAMINATES

    No substitute for listening.

Go down to the shop and feel and listen to the ones in your price range.

Pick the one you like best.

Was looking at the new Yamaha AC3M all solid wood, but can't find any in stock around here.

    neglect, mostly.
when you say "all solid wood" what do you mean? most acoustics have a mahogany back and sides with a spruce top and different necks from rosewood to mahogany and all in between there. when you get into Martins they will use some more fancy wood like rosewood all around. . . which is my suggestion if you want high quality american (which is rare enough). any Martin & Co will have a neck that you can fly your fingers up and down and legendary bracing and tone. . . taylors are cool too, and growing fast in popularity lately. im just a Martin man (well, hope to actually be one one day )

It's not all wood, but I absolutely love my Ovation! :crapstorm:

If I could have any acoustic guitar, I would probably get a Martin.

just flipping through my CP and i clicked on this again for kicks. just want to say OP this^^^^^ advice is totally the best in the thread. for example i was in guitar center the other day and i picked up an acoustic from a brand i had never heard of (and don't even remember now) and played a few riffs on it. It sounded absolutely amazing and was only $250!! i was so temped to buy it on the spot cause every song i played on it sounded great. . . .but i have all the acoustics i need and i couldn't justify it (and i don't need to spend the money haha).

but just wanted to reiterate what he said with that little short story.
