    I've got the s/t max 265/70 17

They rub the front air damn and the mud flaps. Rub a lot more than I expected when most folks say 265/70 17 is cool.

Love the tires. Excellent. A little heavier but who cares? Not me.

Conundrum: After a season with KO2s, they do not hold their own in bad snow conditions, ST Maxx siping for snow does not look nearly as good as DuraTracs, but DuraTracs do not come in E rating for 285/70r17.

What the hell AT works well in bad snow?

I see you're in Puyallup. Have you run the ST Maxx in heavy snow in the Cascades yet?

ask @Aussiek2000 He was running that size for a while. He might know a bit better.
I'm just going by what I've heard on here from numerous members.

You'll have to remove front mud flaps and cut cab mounts to properly clear a 33" at full stuff

Not yet. Just put them on a week ago. I like them a lot. They are doing really good in this heavy rain we've been having.

When the snow starts falling in the cascades I'll be heading up to stomp around and try them out.

Great, let me know how they do. I put KO2s on in October last year and had some dangerous encounters both in the cascades and olympics that have made me second guess them as a good year rounder. Lots of friends in CO recommend DuraTracs to me, but the ST Maxx seem like a close runner up and I'm interested to hear real world experience.

Damn! The siping doesn't look very aggressive but that looks promising.

I just put KO2 on my new PRO but have duratracs on my LR4. Love the duratracs in snow and mud! Great tire. Just wanted to see what all the hoopla was about on the KO2.

is that front cab mount or rear you need to cut?
I was looking at the wheel wells after my test drive didn't look that tight.

Front. This is with my 285's. 255's fit better but still rub. But it's bearable. When the 285 rubs it sounds like the trucks coming apart
