Why no love for Yoko Geolanders? Seem good for the money. I've driven a ton of different vehicles, and I prefer Yokohama over BFG any day, but I have yet to try an A/T from Yoko.

    Ok that's what I thought.
When I was looking at it that was the one spot I noticed might rub a tiny bit.

All these "which tire is best" threads are interesting. I know people have their favorites.

Perhaps such a test exists.....but I'd love to see if anyone would really be able to tell the difference between the various top tier brands (Cooper BFG, Toyo, GY, etc.) If they were to test drive them on some sort of course without knowing which tire was actually on the truck. Kinda like the blind taste tests that are out there. I'm no scientist, but I bet most couldn't tell the difference.

Just my musings as I enjoy some coffee on my day off.

    That would be the test.
Same vehicle and same driver just rotate out the tires without the drivers knowing which brand is which. I'd bet I couldn't guess the brands.

Ran 2 sets of these on my 02. Love them.
Thinking about trying the BFG KO2s when these Wranglers go down. Friends love them. High mile tire.

I always kinda wonder the same. I had them on my O/R for a few years, but honestly I didn't put a lot of off-road miles on them. I thought though they were terrific, but you never hear anyone mention them on here.

it would have to be independently done.
otherwise results could be biased by a company paying for better results.

how many reviews from things like caranddriver are biased as shit because someone paid them to give better reviews to their vehicle.
Hell I've seen older reviews that said canyons were better than the 2nd gens lol.

I may have to research to see if such a test has ever been done.

I'm trying to think what would be the best way to test it lol

You'd need comparisons for all test.
    On road
    • dry
    • damp
    • down pour
    • snow
    • hot (summer day)
    • cold (fall/winter with no snow on the road)
    • cornering
    • noise level (done with a actual db meter)
    • comfort level
    • braking distance in ice/snow/rain
    Off Road
    • snow (winter wheeling)
    • mud
    • rock crawling
    • gravel
    • sand
    • grass
    • water crossing
    • sidewall strength (at the end of all testing gauged point to see how much force is needed to puncture)

Then of course test for for tread wear.

That's good stuff....but may be too many variables for an accurate assessment.

Maybe separate snow & mud as separate tests. Perhaps even wet & on road performance.

Or a small sample of each....like an all around test.

Probably have a separate condition set up for each test and see how it performs.

I've had them for a couple weeks now and I'm happy with them. Only had them off road once so far, but they did great in mud. Handle very nice on the road as well. Pictures don't do them justice either, they look way better in person. $115 a piece including mount and balance for me.
