The LS460 projector is very large and the actuator for the high/low beam hangs down pretty far. To make the projector and actuator fit, the bottom of the headlight housing has to be hacked up, a custom enclosure needs to be made, then somehow resealed. It's also a heavy projector so it needs to have solid mounting, especially with the compromised headlight housing.

Check this out for all the fun involved with an LS460 retrofit:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lighting/173031-ls460-retro.html

Sorry Ant, I jacked your thread but it's one of the sickest retro's I've ever seen!

    Definitely..

@OP: a lot of the aftermarket projector housings are different. What may have worked for us may not work for your aftermarket ones. i got mine from ebay for about 330.. then the cost of projectors, ballasts, harness, etc from TRS.. you'll be between 500-600 in. For me.. it was almost twice as much as I had to do a lot of trial and error as well as purchasing another set of the ebay housings. In fact.. I still have them if you would like to practice on them. Was going to keep them for spare parts.. but this second set I made are pretty stout.

I got my ebay housing for $150, then complained that the lighting sucked, and talked them into refunding me $50 so I was into it including all the TRS stuff (2 sets of halo's) $450. Still less than Josh's.

yeah so one set per headlight...I have 4 adjusters per headlight...probably why mine were cheaper than yours...mine probably wasn't built as well

Do it! I am going to research the FX-R's a little bit more and decide if I am up for the extra work they involve, but the H1's are probably in my future...

I had a set of H1's retrofitted in my '11 Civic Si by CustomLightz and really enjoyed their performance, I think they are a quality projector...
