Best cheap 16" wheels??

Hey everyone!
I am looking into buying some aftermarket wheels.
I either want black, grey, maybe bronze but nothing with the machined look or factory look.

Also, I'm trying to be on the cheaper side.
Like $150 or less per wheel and want to stay with a 16".
I am looking at the black or bronze American Racong AR202's right now.
But want to see what you guys suggest as well.

 

level 8 mk6 I think I paid like $700 and that included shipping to Hawaii!

 

Personally, I’ve seen some pretty good looking ones here running just basic custom spray painted white and also black steelies. They’re cheap, but you’ll also have to get TPMS sensors for steel ones.

Paint your wheels, any color you want. It’s a good looking wheel, once painted. Save you tons of cash.

Painted mine black, love them.I do love that bronze color.

 

Wish I got a photo of it, but I’ve seen self-derped wheels that looked like they were derped with a scrub brush!

Yeah, honestly, they are not easy to paint, but if you can pull it off...

I used a semi-gloss spray paint. krylon rust protector enamel. I’d use a better quality paint if I did it again. This paint was just temperamental. Hard to lay down.

 

How did you prep the wheels? Did you scuff the factory paint first? How are these holding up?

I used a scotch pad and rubbing alcohol, then used 220 on outer flat spots. It’s on there.

 

Scs f5, flow formed and only 18 pounds.

All those cheap fake bead lock looking wheels you can buy for 120 from tire shops all look the same and are typically heavier than stock.
