Just thought it would be interesting to see where the best coffee shops are in Oregon or just places to buy coffee from

Wow. Really surprised NO ONE commented on this...
I like antfarm in sandy. They help out a lot in the community and with programs for kids.
As far as closer to portland I have a friend that swears by Seven Virtues... also heard good things about Coava. I personally am a Nossa Familia guy.

Coffee is just like beer. Plenty of places to get it, but I like to stay away Starbucks, Blackrock and places like that. I pick out a spot and explore what I think tastes good for me.

I like Starbuck's, it tastes good to me. So why say to avoid it, then say "pick a place that tastes good to you"? Or is this just the typical "it's mega-corporation product, so by default it can't be good" schtick?

And you are right, it is just like beer, but don't automatically assume that "small and local" makes it inherently better than "macro and global." I've had some of the worst beer from pico breweries, and some of the best from mega breweries.

Screw changing what you posted it’s how you feel. Starbucks and black rock aren’t good imho. It’s not a corporate vs local thing for me it’s that Starbucks Has a burned tasted to me more often then not.

Heart Roasters or Coava Coffee Roaster are two great ones that I have tried whole beans for an at home grind.

I'm going to catch some crap for this but Pilot (I stop at the one on HWY 97 in Chemult) has the best truck stop coffee. It is ground and brewed on demand and there are several beans to choose from AND the price is right.

If you are in Klamath Falls stop by A Leap of Taste on Main Street downtown.

I actually order beans onlineall the time. Get some Onyx, Counter Culture, Kickapoo, etc. just needs to be fresh roasted.

As far as Starbucks, if that is your jam, I don’t think there is any problems finding one of those... I do drink Starbucks when I can’t find better coffee.

In the Northwest definitely try Camber in Bellingham or Lighthouse in Seattle. I mean there are a ton of great coffee options, and I think Portland may have even more top shelf coffee places that Seattle, but I don’t live down there so I haven’t tried any except the two I mention above in PDX.

Co-worker and I had a theory that the bikini baristas on hwy 30 was gonna be a best kept secret coffee spot. It wasn’t. Pretty sure a chunk of mascara fell into my mocha.
