My dad wants me to put up one of those horrendous sun shade crap in my windshield when im at school to protect my dashboard from cracking and stuff, and i dont want to do it b/c its UGLY. So what is the best protector spray or whatever that would protect my nice new dash?

These new dashes have uv protection built in. I'd be scared to use chemicals on the dash, because they may do more harm than good. I use the ugly window shade. JMO. I could be wrong.

Aerospace 303 won't hurt the dash.
I use this plus I have 40% tint on the windshield.

Edit: BTW Window Shades don't bother me, most people around here use it, (90+ temperatures almost all year) I used to have one in my previous truck, I don't use one now because I can't find a spot on my regular cab that is easily accessible and won't take usable space. (I use the space under the seat for other things). IMO they are neither ugly or pretty, I just don't pay attention to them.

Thanks for the info on the Aerospace 303. You also reminded me of the main reason I use the shade. It helps keep the interior a bit cooler.:)

just go buy a generic window shade..........i personally use them and when you are driving its off anyway....that would be the cheapest solution and besides your dash looks nicer without the dashguard.
