When I was looking for a 2013 I told the salesman I don't want black any other color will do plus it has to have a factory rear locker & the A-trac.
The idiot says we can put a tool box with a lock on it but no one has 8 tracks anymore , "why do you want that"
I shook my head & walked away.
Went back a week later different salesman told him the same thing, he walks me over to a used black 4dr and says all the tacomas have the rear storage boxes in the bed, but don't have locks on them
I went into the dealership asked to talk to the salemanager and said I'm ready to buy but will not buy from them, they want to sell me a 30K dollar truck but have no idea what they are selling. I called a dealership 70 miles away and talked to salesman over the phone ordered my truck from them. Funny thing the other dealer was still calling, even as I pulled out with my new Tacoma. I answered and said I already bought one 5 mins ago. Idiots.

    True story.
After that I went too the bank too get a loan. They wanted my interest rate to be 7.5%. I said no way. I went back too the dealership and talked too the finance guy. I told him I needed paperwork that showed a low interest rate so I could get the bank too match it. He printed out some stuff saying the dealership would give me 4%. I then went back to the bank and they matched it.

I dont rember exactly everything. But i was trying to decide between a 02 xcab and a 07regular cab. the guy was like "well if it was me i would go with the newer truck simply because it has an outlet in the bed for your blender. I know as a younger man your going to be making mixed drinks on the beach." Damn good sales pitch i will say that haha.

Yea I drove mine to the dealer recently to pick up my wife she was getting her car serviced. Had a customer unroll his window and ask if my truck was for sale while a Toyota salesmen was in the car with him. I was only there a few mins

I traded in my 2008 Tacoma for a mint 2002 WRX wagon(big mistake). The wipers were shot so it was part of the agreement for the (Subaru) dealer to change them. About 2 minutes from home, all excited about my new-to-me car, it rains. Wipers on, streaking like crazy. Get home and in the garage, looked at the windshield, scratched to hell! I drive right back to the dealer and see the salesman on the floor. I explain my situation and without pause, he says "Well sir, you did buy a used car...":mad::mad::mad::mad:
After several trips and calls to the dealer, a complaint to the BBB, and finally a complaint to the Attorney General's office, my windshield was replaced.

Me and my parents were looking at a 2006 Tacoma at our local dealership. The truck had about 60k on it and they were asking $24,000. The salesman said that it would be sold that weekend at that price. It was there for well over 5 months. Shows you how much he knew.

I didn't even let the salesman really speak, I went there knowing what I wanted and told him that I wasn't leaving with anything less or more(that added to there value)

the sells guy that sold us my truck was good. never lied about anything ot talked the truck up to be somthing it’s not. he new about this forum as well.

oh and he is trained on fj,tacoma,4runner and tundra. thats the only things he sells. he does not sell the toyota cars or vans. if i got in a wreck or something and got another taco or looked at FJ, i would be going back to him.

I had a guy tell me that a plastic baggy with wires in it was a chip in a powerstroke...
The best test drive I've ever done was a bmw 335d. The salesman knew his shit, and had me hot rod the shit out of that car. That car was a blast to drive. If I only had the money...

Not really a funny quote, but it really pissed me off. I just got back from my deployment and had the money to put down on my taco. This was from the very first dealership I visited.

SM: Can I help you find anything in particular?
Me: I'm looking for a Super White or Black, TRD Offroad Double Cab, 6spd manual, JBL Stereo. I might look at something else if you don't have that, but if you try and talk to me about a silver truck I'm walking out.
SM: let me see what we have in stock---Comes back from the computer--- I have a silver 4 cylinder single cab.....Are you leaving?
    ME: YEP!

When I was looking for a truck, I went to a Nissan dealer. I don't know what I was thinking. Wanted a Tacoma. But anyway, this is my story:

Me: How much is that Frontier?
    Salesman: $30,999.
Me: I need it to be $25,000. Let me see something else.
Salesman: Let me talk to my manager.
Manager: Don't you want that truck?
    Me: Not for $30,000.
    Manager: Why? Can't afford it?
Me: I can afford a $50,000 car, but that doesn't mean I want to.
Manager: I pay $700 a month for my car. It's all about priorities.
Me: Mine is my family. Goodbye.

Yeah. Everytime I hear a friend or family wanting to go to that dealership to look at a car. I tell them the story and tell them to drive to another dealership.
