FWIW I think going from 3" at the Y pipe outlet to a 2 1/2 mid pipe is the key to keeping flow where it needs to be and controlling drone. The closer to the Y the better the results,in power and noise.

    More power from exhaust?
Are you replacing the intake, injectors, manifold, Y, CAT and CAT back to make more power?

Yanking the cats off and putting in a downpipe could make it worse without a tune and other mods. All I wanted was a bit more noise so I swapped the muffler but even then I'm not 100% on it. Kinda sounds like my old lady's Honda accord.

Stock.. like many others already suggested..
I have the TRD exhaust, besides being a bit louder, i didn't notice anything different, no gas millage gains or power or maybe too little to be noticed..
if you like loud go for the Flowmaster, i had it on my Nissan Pathfinder..

IMO Trd Pro is the better option. Looks good and sounds good. As far as bolt on options currently available, dont even factor MPG and power gains into your decison. You'll likely not notice any difference on a stock tacoma.

Also IMO I think the MBRP is the worse sounding of most if not all of the bolt on exhaust options. But I'm only basing this off of the youtube videos I've seen. I know videos do not do any exhaust justice. But I would never get the MBRP exhaust.

Again all my opinion, for whatever that's worth.

I installed the MBRP and had it for about a week. It was way to loud. Now I got the TRD Pro and couldn't be happier. :D

Have you seen a MPG increase with the S&B intake? I’ve heard really good things about it.

Have the Borla on the Taco, NO DRONE. Can hear it, but, not overpowering.
Corsa in the charger... had one under the caddy too. Wouldnt hesitate, but, got a better deal on the borla.
