I have a 2006 Taco 2wd 2.7L 5 speed manual trans (5 lug) and I recently lifted my truck 3" and added 30" tires. I have noticed it lost power and acceleration and I want that back. I don't want power muscle type gear but something that would bring back stock acceleration at least.

The stock OEM tires are 215/75R15. What new gears would you guys recommend to get back factory power and keeping decent gas mileage because I drive highway and streets. I don't really tow or go offroading too much.

I've read recommendations for 4.11 gear. Would they be what I am looking for? What about 3rd member? What is that and is it the same as regearing your truck?

And how much $$ will I be looking to spend? I live in Southern Cali (Inland Empire area)
    Thanks!
