I know this should be in the audio section, but theres alot more traffic here so i hope no one gets too mad.....

Just wondering what speakers i should put in my taco. Just got my alpine pdx-v9 amp (100 watts rms by 4). I really am looking for great midbass since that was lacking so bad in my last truck, and love good highs also. I have a Pioneer NEX4000 head unit that has a pretty awesome EQ. Ill be getting a ported sub as well.

Thinking between alpine type R, Image dynamics, JL Audio, or whatever others recommend. I dont wanna spend more than 500 for all 4 speakers. Any advice appreciated guys!

Check the most recent post to my build thread linked my my sig for what I went with. I wanted great sound on a budget and feel like what I got is about the best bang for the buck. Also able to handle more power once you add an amp to the situation too but these are rated at running on deck power too so the impedance is low enough for the lower power output on a deck to not sound like poo until (or even if) you add an external amp.

BTW, threads like this tend to get more traffic in the proper thread even though there's more traffic overall here. The people in that thread are there to talk audio whereas most people here are here to talk about eyelids and leveling kits.
