Pure 100% Virgin Oil is always the best.... :proposetoast:

As said Mobil 1 is very good and availible.

But any oil is better then NO oil....

2nd. You will learn more than you ever wanted (or needed) to know from bobistheoilguy.com. Remember: regardless of what brand you choose, the most important thing is keeping the oil clean. Don't leave it in for 15k miles just because the label says you can.

    FWIW....I run:

Mobil 1 5w-30 in my Tacoma
Elf/Total Excellium 5w-40 in my Audi
Supertech Dino Oil 5w-30 in my F250 at work (anything else is too damn expensive)

Well, I can see we've all entertained ourselves in a familiar thread again. We ARE the funniest people we know! Too bad the OP hasn't come back to comment on our sage advice and high entertainment value.

And rob1, stop pooping on our party by telling the FNG's that we are just joking around. Ruins our cred.

I use to use royal purple changed it every 3k at 3rd oil i decided to change it every 4k and i felt a slight diffrance in the truck. So I switched to mobil 1 extended performance and I like it keeps the temps down and is affordable I think RP is just all hype they add a purple dye to the oil why?. GO WITH MOBIL 1

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
I use Walmart synthetic in my racing mower. The engine revs at over 6,500 RPMS. It holds up really well and its a lot cheaper too.

not to many, love it the way it is
I ran mobil 1, 5- 30 with the mobil 1 $11 filter in my other truck and did the 10 k change intervals, that is why I did it because it is the lazy thing to do. If it was not for this warranty on the 09 taco I would probably do the same thing except go 9k instead of 10k. I'll change it at 5k now and know I could get thousands more miles out of the oil, you 3k on the nose folks can do the 3k change intervals all you want, I'm to lazy to deal with that type of dino oil

Whatever oil a person chooses is the best oil and they will tell you that. So in summation, just use oil and you'll be fine.

Also, death to all oil and mpg threads.

I either use Mobil 1 or Amsoil. Amsoil is supposedly same ingredients but more of certain ingredients than Mobil 1 making it slightly better but more expensive according to Amsoil.

Amsoil can be changed at 25,000mile intervals.

    https://www.amsoil.com/comparison/motor-oil.aspx

I am in the process to becoming a dealer for AMSOIL

That's what I'm looking for "230,000 miles later and the engine is still in near perfect condition" if the rust don't get me. NJ and Calif are miles apart on rust. :D

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
I only use Mobil1 in my Tacoma.

I started using AMSOIL products -- engine oil, gear lubes, ATF and grease -- during 1978 in my '77 FJ-40 followed by use in my '86 RJ-70, '88 HJ-65, '88 4-Runner, a couple of Fords, Hondas, etc. I run their Racing Oil in my airplane.

AMSOIL is going into my 2010 Taco 300 miles from now.

If you can use a computer, you can buy them if local dealers aren't available. AMSOIL products are the best.
