Don't have a ton of good trails near me. Let me know what your favorites are in northern California?

Depends on what you consider "northern" california...

I guess a lot of people consider anything north of LA as "northern" CA, lol, so that doesn't leave out a lot of the state...

There's everything from hundreds (probably thousands?) of miles of forest roads of all difficulty levels to places like the Rubicon.

What's your skill level, rig setup etc?

@tacomaguy7 where specifically are you? I mean, yeah, probably north of LA but narrow it down a little for us.

Most of the trails I run are in the Sierras. There are gobs of forest roads - endless possibilities. Just pick up some FS MVUMs (motor vehicle use maps) and go to town.

But here are a few links that I googled for you:

    https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/top-lists/best-places-for-off-roading-near-bay-area/
    https://www.*****************/forums/threads/any-good-off-road-places-trails-in-the-bay-area.5012/
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/san-francisco-any-places-to-go-off-roading.266189/

Hollister Hills and Frank Raines OHV are pretty much the only places that are less than 2 hours (and that's if there's no traffic) from SF

So my suggestion is to be willing to drive more than 2 hours and make a weekend of it up in the Sierras...
