Is rackattack the best place in regards to price for purchasing a thule roof rack?

    Anyone have any other suggestions?

I've bought from them locally in the past and had good luck. It wasn't a roof rack though, it was a trailer hitch rack and components.

You would think I would remember to give all of that information but even now I am still scatter brained from time to time.

It is a 2010 Double Cab Long bed.

Also, I have noticed mention if rain gutters. I know the tacoma has them but does that mean I must use a rack that uses the rain gutters or is the suggestions made by the Thule website fine with or without rain gutters? I am assuming the fit kit takes into account that the vehicle I entered has rain gutters. anyone have any experience with this?

Last thing I want is to buy a rack and end up having to return parts because of the rain gutters.

    thanks in advance :)

I've ordered from RackAttack.com several times with no problems.

Both the Thule and Yakima racks have fit kits that work with the contours of the Tacoma roof. You'll have to get the load bars, feet, and fit kit before you get into specifics for kayaks, surfboards, or anything else.

I recommend getting the air deflector with your rack as well. The wind noise without the deflector is incredibly annoying.

REI has them on sale from time to time. I priced a rack the other day and after adding everything up, it was cheaper than anywhere else (ORS, Rackattack, etc.) I think it was 25% off of both yakima and thule, all components.

The air deflector is a must, I agree.

As for REI, I have checked availability of parts and everything seems to be on backorder. I am going to have to stop in the store to see what they have I guess. Maybe their website is not as inventory tracking friendly as other companies websites.

    Stock for now
    I bought from rackwarehouse.com
They are local to me but their main business comes from online sales.
As already mentioned, you get a footpak kit, towers, load bars and a fairing. Mine has been on the truck for almost 4 years now year round & gets lots of use & have had zero problems.
    Definitely get the fairing though.
Also check local sports stores, Dicks Sporting Goods & Eastern Mountain Sports just had them 20% off.
