The Traxxas Slash was just coming on the market when I got out, I am sure there is a ton of aftermarket stuff now. Here is the 4WD version with brushless motor, 2.4 gig radio, battery and blinky wall charger. almost ready-to-run. a bit more than you want to spend,,but you have to look at it as "the price of admission"

The HPI Blitz is a pretty good truck for racing

 

ok it looks like im going with the blitz,rtr with battery and charger for 220 brand new

 

HPI makes some good stuff,,had one of those also.
