    No you do not need them. They are nice, but not nessicary on a 1st gen.

    You should get an extended brake line tho for the rear and a BPV bracket

    1st gens just don't have the alignment issues 2nd gens do. Trust me i have the Eibachs and 5100s and there are TONS of others running it without UCAs.

    and what a rear brake line? sure thats easy just gotta bleed the brakes after. And a BPV bracket is just 4 bolts on the axle. Super easy.

    what does the BPV do though? im also goin to be running my 31" wranglers on stock 16's for a while, you think that would look ok? til i can get money for new rims and tires. i also read somewhere that if running stocks you would need wheel spacers to keep uca's from rubbing?

    Yea mine looked good after i added 1.5'' spacers for a wider look on 31s with stock bumpers. After i put the plate bumper on there it looked silly without the 33s.

    here is mine with the Eibachs and about 4.5'' lift out back.

    Wheel/tire interference with the stock UCA only happens with 285/75s and larger tires mounted on stock wheels. You do not need wheel spacers with your 31's just because you lift it

    can i turn the shocks up to make the front set higher than the rear? cause if my truck dont set level or over level. i gotta do something about it.

    Your gonna have the front end higher most likey due to only having a 2'' AAL in saggy stock leafs. Eibachs give 3.5'' lift usually when they are new. You want about an inch higher up front to level the truck out.

    YOU SHOULD NEVER PRECOMPRESS THE EIBACHS! you wil DESTROY your CVs

    Mike is also right about the tires. A wider tire will rub on teh stock rim since its 4.5'' of Backspacing so yes then you will need to run spacers. If you getting new wheels with the new tires eventually. Just get the right wheel and you'll be fine.

    sorry to keep bothering yall, but whats yalls opinion on a diff drop too.... cause i do offroad, i baby it but i aint afraid to get her dirty. gotta get to the lake somehow. when i do get new wheels too what about the backspacing measurements?

    a Tacoma 4X should not have a suspension lifted more then 2.75"
    and the magic "diff drop" scam does little to nothing.

    Pee-Runners... can be pushed to the limit.
    but it still isn't a good thing.

    For 4X I recommend a more sane 2.5" lift...
    so one might still have some up travel.

    remember people...
    adding taller pogo sticks to yer junk is not a suspension improvement.
    And excessively lifting yer junk... is just inviting accelerated wear.
    sooo... check yer bank account for 'dose repair monies

    at 3" of lift... your alignment specs will be max'd out...
    and maybe unable to meet minimum specs.
    Aft. Mrkt. upper control arms might be necessary to compensate some.

    Hate me if you like...
    but there seems to be an awful lot of poor advice on this forum.

    I don't agree with my friend Monte on this one. If you have high speed vibes (45-60 mph) after lifting, it is likely the CVs. I found a diff drop did help some, to improve that axle angle. They are definitley effective on 1st gens.

    I agree with some of this..and not with some

    My truck as 3'' or more up front..and i have perfect alignment. Drives totally strait and no vibes at all.

    And no up travel?? WTF? I can stuff a 33 NOOOOO problem and 31s when i had them.
