    Hello Everyone!

I used to have Tacoma with the JL Audio Stealthbox. Loved the sound, but didn't like the space it took up in the center. I now have another Tacoma and would like to go with an underseat subwoofer, possibly two if needed.

Anyone using one and what's best out there without having to play around with the bar underneath the seat?

Have you thought of putting some subs behind the seats? That’s where I put my subs and my bass enhancer.

I can send pics tomorrow so you can get an idea.

OP if you have a double cab then mount them facing the windshield behind the rear seats. I had one Rockville 10" shallow powered sub under my seat, cost like 120 each. More of an ass shaker than anything. When i built my access cab sub box it was one hell of a difference! Would probably never go back to a powered underseat sub, but it did make me regret not going double cab.

I've got one of the Sound Ordnance powered subwoofers behind my driver's seat, it'll supposedly fit under the seat but I've never tried it since my amp is under there. You're not going to win any loud stereo contest or annoy everyone a block over with it but in the small space of the Tacoma's cab it does surprisingly well for most music.

There are several threads on them and supposedly while tight, they do fit under the seat.

Are y'all using aftermarket head units or stock head units with in-line converters to hook up the amps?

I just added this sub box in my access cab. I had an 8” Qes-820 made by CDT installed with a Focal 900.1 amp. Takes up little space and sounds real clean with the rest of my CDT’s. Couldn’t be happier. You can get the box from super crew sound on the internet. 0AF7961A-306A-40EA-BE43-218F72502505.jpg

Damn! I've been out of the sound game for many, many years (20 years) & it appears to have changed BIG time!

Yes its a great sub and when my installer wired it he wired it in series so it’s only 500 watts of really clean power. For only having one 8” and using very little space it couldn’t get any better. The rest of the system is silk dome tweeters, 2” midtweeters,6x9s all powered by sundown audio amp 150x2. I left stock speakers in back and they are powered by my pioneer 5280CBBD-A3D7-481F-9E57-743DBF96244E.jpg D3251353-F684-4560-9467-F14DA1ECA76F.jpg 4201 nex receiver. The installer also sound deadened all the doors. I wanted it done with quality speakers and amps so I wouldn’t have to ever upgrade.

Same here. I put a system in my girlfriend's car a couple years ago and recently replaced the head unit and my truck and now I am getting the itch to buy another a d s pH 15 and run 6 channel active crossover up front.
That should suck enough money out of me where I'll have to wait a while before I do a sub.

That's what I placed under my passenger seat in my Access Cab. It's got good acoustics, for a shallow low-power sub. Inside, it gives just enough emphasis to make me enjoy the truck that much more. I'm running it off a Kenwood DDX9702S, so RCA straight in. The rest are Kicker QS 6x9's and 6.5's, which are powered by an Alpine Power Pack to really make the truck sound great. To top it off, I Dynamatted the doors to ward off any vibrations caused by the extra oomph from the system.
