Pretty new to the Tacoma world, done a lot of looking and reading on the topic, mostly looking for opinion and clarifications if I'm incorrect. What is the safest, and best method to lift a Tacoma around 2 inches and level it. From my reading I've been finding a lot of people adding 5100s on front and rear and just preseting them to level and raise the truck. I've heard blocks and leveling kits are bad for suspension and other components such as the drive shaft in the long run.
I'm looking to raise for a bit more clearence, but mostly for looks. Please enlighten me!

Like you already have mentioned, you have been reading a lot on this topic as there are A LOT of threads about this.

How much are you looking to spend?

This will determine what route to choose.

If it's only looks but don't want the ride to be terrible, 5100's with OME springs up front and 5100's in the rear with an AAL...Done!

3" lift. 33" tires. Headlight Retro, intake, exhaust
If u get 5100 make sure they are silver couse aperently some are listed as 5100 but they are stock 4600. 5100 are good for 0-1" lift as per blister but most run them with 2" lifts anyway. 5125(there are different length so careful when u pick) those are good for more lift

I did the 5100s on all 4 w/885 springs up front and AAL in the rear, I do not regret that decision. At ~$700 it's worth every penny and not much more than a spacer lift.
