Chopped off the old crawlbox mount from the crossmember. Used the plasma then had to grind the rest. That part sucked.
It was also tricky trying to get the hole pattern right on the metal.

Beefed this one up a little different this time around.

A lot better than the HD mount I had on before, but still some noticeable vibrations at idle interestingly enough. I would have thought that with the second one being rubber that the feeling would be more or less like having just the one stock mount.

Hopefully it keeps the drivetrain more planted on uneven section of highway when it would kind of jump around before.

    Thanks Cory!
The red one I had before was a Marlin HD one but the vibes were rough. I had a TG one for a hot sec but it contacted the gear housing so I returned it.

TG today said to run their cross member with a oem 79-95 t-case mount. I wonder how that would work

Since no one runs that the TG crossmember because it sits so low you don't want to be the one to find out.

New Yokohama Geolander M/T's and new 17x9 -38mm SCS F5's to get me to a true 33in tire.

Really didn't wanna step up to a 17in rim since I like my sidewall, but that was the only way to run a 34in tire down in the future.
The next step up on my 16in rims was basically straight to a 315/75r16 35in.

These have a little bit more tire poke than before, but I like it.
Need to clearance my wheel wells more with these being bigger than my previous 285's.

Very curious to see how the geolanders handle offroad. The General X3's were kickass.

Thanks @cbechtold for the hookup! Looking forward to seeing how your rig looks on my 16" f5's

Looks good. I love my f5s. They're a bit scratched up, but don't care.

Looking good man! Definitely looking forward to getting them on my truck and trying out the Geolanders as well. 10ply tire is going to be interesting, but I'm going to Gorilla Tape your old rims after I clean them up to hopefully aid in lower psi with them.

How do they handle so far? No vibrations or anything out of the ordinary so far? I did my best to try and balance them, but like I said earlier, they took very little weights to balance out.

Mine old ones were like that and I have a feeling these will suffer the same fate haha. Dont care either though. Shows that you actually use them.

Are the MTR's 10ply as well? I don't know the ply ratings. Not sure what my generals were, but they ride pretty similar to those.
No odd vibrations or anything. Nice & smooth.

On the other hand, clearancing the wheel wells has proven to be a royal PITA so far. Did the passenger side tonight and I had to do everything short of tubbing basically.
Cams maxed out. 36in 10lb sledge hammer, die grinder, and the angle grinder all got a workout.

Now I need to seam seal it up real good.

Kinda crazy how close it is to the body mount at full stuff.
Tires measured out to be 33.5in dia.

Bitchen! One of your wheels has no added weights so that's why I'm asking.

No, my MTRs are 8ply, last set was 6ply. Difference between C, D, and E load rating.

I'm actually surprised you're having clearance issues. My 33x12.5s were fully clearance and I didn't have to do much to get everything to clear with no rubbing. 295s might just be a tad bit bigger than I thought.

Oh gotcha. Well, e-rating tires definitely aren't the smoothest on the road but they do great off road. Pretty jarring over small bumps and stuff at full air pressure. But you get used to it.

I think the driver side will be easier, because alignment shops have always had issues with getting my passenger side to match the driver side for caster.

I'll have to mess around with pressures then. 30/25 has been my go to for both sets of MTRs.

The guy I went to for my alignment said something similar for me. My passenger side has slightly more caster than the driver side.

In my experience, between 30 and 35 psi on E-range tires haven't made much of a difference in the road feel.
Maybe I'll have to play around with it too, but I wouldn't wanna go too low either for the sake of MPG, rolling resistance, and tire wear. Especially with you not being regeared yet

I wish that were the case with mine. Only really ever been able to get like 2.3 or so caster out of the passenger side. Hopefully some solo LCA's will fix that in the future.
