BHLM... but red

Thinking about doing the black headlight mod but instead of black im gonna color match them to the truck, opinions?

 

Let's see it. IMO would look cool, kinda like the new vette headlights the way they are doing the body color housing thing. Thinkin somebody did this with indigo.

 

it will look cool, ive seen other members on here match the SW and SWB colors in their headlights, dont think ive seen a red one tho

 

I've seen BlueHLM and WhiteHLM that look good, but I don't know about red. I think black would look better. But I've never seen RedHLM - maybe it would look better than I think. Give it a shot. You can always re-do it if doesn't look good.

 

Rocketball did his in blue. Here's mine in white. I think it'd look good, do it!!

 

Yea, I'm a big fan of the color match headlights.

If you don't like it you can always change it, but I don't think you will be disappointed.

yea im not sure how i like the red i might do it and throw them on there and then see how it looks and if i dont like it just redo them black

I think that rad red looks fabulous. I will do mine one day!! Maybe I can trade headlights for a vault.

 

So for the turn signal and side marker do you just leave off the reflector in order to have it not orange?

Its your call. You can always leave the side marker off, or you can spray it black w/ nightshades or a matte black. For the dtrl's, I simply left that off. Some earlier models came w/ a clear lense, however, mine had the yellowish tint, which is why I chose to leave it off. (I also sprayed that reflector blue, as you would w/ the normal bhlm)

 

I say do it only if it's painted the same color not spray canned a close color

 

IMO its ugly as hell. Do black, you'll be happy with it. Red just stands out and looks wierd. Personally, I think the BHLM makes the headlights stand out less, and thats why it looks better.

Horrible picture, looks much better in person. Glad I did it.
