@scubamike I’m sorry this happened. I was wondering why all those fire trucks of Normandy. I wonder what Corvias is gonna charge you for an oven.

...two years from now when telling this story to buddies over a beer.

    Buddy: "Those are awesome headlights."

ScubaMike: "Thanks man. First attempt didn't go so well. Burned the headlights. Ended up with a new pair of headlights AND a new oven."

Wife: "Oven? Wait honey, what are you talking about?"

ScubaMike: "Remember when you went out of town two years ago? Well, I caught the oven on fire trying to bake the first pair of headlights, but due to my quick thinking, photography, and manskills, I saved the rest of the house. The base fire department helped too, but they were just there for moral support."

    Wife: "WAT"

This is all your fault; Evil prevails when good men do nothing..

Total sarcasm, glad OP is alright (I burst out laughing though, not expecting the picture roll to progress so aggressively)

Dude! Awesome that you’re just owning it! Shit happens sometimes, because of and in spite of ourselves. Glad it’s only going to cost you an oven and some new lights.

No man, it wasn't the temperature you had the oven set to really that got you, it's the temperature of that coil right under the towel that probably heats to 700 or so degrees to get your oven to 300 that ignited the towel.

 The thought of someone out on active duty for the military coming home and finding their husband has taken up a hobby baking his truck piece by piece in the oven is just too much! I came into this with no context of what bhlm is or why it requires baked goods, so my bewilderment and shock was high. Then I read this and lost it! A+

I did a mod on my 2003 Tiburon and had to heat the lamps in the oven... the trick was low and slow. IIRC, 150 degrees for about 30 minutes or more.

The trick is more time, not more heat.

Love the fact you took time to take a picture of your headlight fully engulfed in flames hahaha
