Mobtown: Your images don't work. I've tried 3 different browsers. When clicking on the different images, it doesn't bring anything up.

Will these bed bars work with the TruckCoversUSA tonneau?

Their website says that it works with some but they don't list which ones are compatible. I sent them an e-mail for more information I will let you know if they get back to me.

Yeah believe me it was hard at first and I really made sure I put the punch where I wanted to start the drill bit each time but once you do it, it's like ripping off a bandaid and you get over the pain quick.

They got back to me fast! Here is a copy of the e-mail.

We know for sure that they work with Truxedo TruXport and Pace Edwards tonneau covers. If you are looking to use the bed bars with covers that are of similar style to those two, you should be fine. Which cover do you have? I could look it up and see if we think it will work or not. There are only a few things that would keep the bed bars from working with a particular cover.

I believe the Thule square head bolts and nuts do work with the bars. The Thule bolts/nuts are .75" and the slot in the bars fits up to .839" heads.

    Sincerely,

    Joe B.

For some reason, they are loading really slow today. I'll have to look into it. If you wait long enough they will come up though. I'll work on figuring out why they are suddenly slow. Thanks for pointing this out.

I'm not sure. It looks similar to the Pace Edwards cover which I know is compatible. I say there is a 90% chance it will work.

Too many people jumping on the sale slowing down the site. Looking forward to receiving mine and trying to get them working with the factory cover.

I don't have that tonneau anymore because I didn't like the canister.

I think they would work with that cover because the PE is very similar.

I went with the KBvoodoo hi rise system (also his bedcaps and tail gate cap)...I have two Yakima steelhead on currently with cargo basket...there is room for more with basket removed...or ski racks when hitting the Alps!

Do you find that set up affects the water seal of your cover?

Some...however I corrected by removing the seal on the cover rails where the bracket mounts to the bed, which allows the rail to sit flush...the KBVOODOO bed caps reduced the gap at the front and back of the bed. Secondly I ran a bead of silicone caulk around the 3 edges of the frame that are permanently fixed to the bed. The cover was not water proof before either.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I saw this a long time ago on the hwy. I think he just mounted the cross bar stands on the factory plastic bed caps

Regarding potential fit with the TruckCoversUSA tonneau, I see that there is a fastening bolt on each of your towers. How would a tonneau rack top rail fit over that?

@Rhubarb: Great pics. I love the look of the integrated rack. Feel like it just looks cleaner than some of the other options.

Yeah, I like it too. That image comes from TruckCoversUSA, but Toynado has a build just like it. My only concern is, even if I used three or four of those Yakima load bars, whether it would hold the moving weight of a RoofTop Tent. I would go that route if I could wrap my mind around whether it would be safe.
