The tent would be using the roof rack, not the bed rack?

Well, I prefer a bed rack so that the RTT sits lower and reduces wind drag.

What do the truckcoversusa folks say about their load limits on the track and yakima mounts?

Since it is a Yakima rack railing that TruckCovers sells as an option, they tell you to call Yakima. I called Yakima a while back, and they said their load bars have a 300-pound rating. I'm just wondering if I used three, if that would be good to carry a RTT - moving weight. I don't understand enough about moving weight to know what I need.

I love this setup and have some Thule Sidearm bike racks that fit on here for carrying bikes without taking the front wheel off!

Pace Edwards Ultragroove Metal retractable tonneau cover with 60” Thule Aeroblade crossbars. You could add a third bar if need be for an RTT. Setup seems super solid and drove through 60-80 mph gusts at 75mph for hours with no issues.

I was considering the @Mobtown Offroad crossbar setup, but didn’t need the extra durability for an RTT.

Full write up with similar needs to yours is what helped me find this solutions: https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/16828292/

Looks like a nice setup. I went with a similar system, but with TruckCovers USA. And, like you, I used the aerobars (3 of them, except they were from Yakima). Put my summit Cascadia RTT on it and it worked fine. But, I have to say, I always watched the tent from the rear view mirror and wondered 'is that thing gonna stay on.' It did. Even through rocky, off-road mountain passes in Colorado. My only gripe is, there's a bit of give in those bars (even with three) so you kinda bounced when you moved in the tent. Not much, but the little that it did just reinforced my fears. My big fear was not the bars, but the towers that connected the entire system in the tracks. That's the weak point, if it is a weak point.

Anyway, looks perfect for a bike setup. And I do like the recessed groove.

Solution from my previous truck. Aluminum flat stock and Bakflips F1 with some fork mounts. Shockingly strong.

I have a sb, and factory tonneau. Bought long Thule bars and reused some old feet to mount the bars on to the tonneau. Using an older Thule playpen basket. I can mount a bike rack tray on either side of the basket or on the basket itself.IMG_20171215_150130135_HDR.jpg IMG_20171216_092313693.jpg

Stock (for now) with some mild conveniences thanks to Amazon.
I was looking to do this exact thing. I have the bar and rockymounts off my 2017. Looking for ways to mount it to the underside of the tonneau like you did. How did you mount the slide rail to the underside? Did you create new holes or used existing ones?

I had old gutter mount Thule crossbars from my fj60 and repurposed the knobs. The bed rail tie downs accommodate the bolts and I put locks in the knobs to hold the bike by it's pedal. I throw a little padding on the tailgate to protect my carbon frame and the new mount holds the bike like a vise.
