Bike rack!!??

OK ive been doing research for about 3 days now but i still cant find a solution to this problem. NEED HELP!!

i want to put a bike rack on my bed where i dont hve to screw or drill anything to my bed. i found this bike rack by thule that does pretty much what im looking for but it locks the bar into the bed but not the bike. which is pretty stupid cause the bike is going to be more expensive then the bar. also it dosnt have a very good review. heres the rack

my other idea is would i be able to buy a cargo bar or a rack thats similar to the thule to be able to attach yakima bedheads or blockheads.

so in basically i want a bike rack that attaches to my bed like a cargo bar but locks in place, with attachments that locks my bikes with out the front wheels. I also know that i can just attach the yakima bedheads but i want it to face forward and look clean.

i know this is a bit off a mission but im willing to make something custom i just dont know where to get the bar itself to attach the yakimas

Why the aversion to drilling a couple of holes and riveting a mount (or 3) to the front of the bed? Much cheaper...

performance bike has a bar that mounts in the bed... $79.00 and an additional 17.99 for a third spindlle and I can mount three road bikes. Ive used it for two years now.

 

Here's my new setup. Works awesome! WHen not in use the rack itself folds down. I can also just take the entire assembly out OR just pull the pin and remove just the rack and leave the wood in the bed. I really like this setup.

 

I made a no drill rack for I think about $40. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

 

So the rack is basically a piece of angle iron that I coated with plastidip. To attach it to the two tie down loops in the bed, I used two wire rope clips. On the angle Iron I mounted just the generic bike mount that Performance Bike sells. I already had one laying around, so it needed to get put to use. The rack is solid and the bike doesn't move around when mounted on it. I also wanted to still be able to use the tie down loops. Anyway here are some pictures of the materials and then the final product.

 

good ideas. I personally don't like removing and re-installing the front wheel plus I run a 20mm thru axle.
