I just got my 5 piece grille powder coated black and I am readu for install. I have already taken the grille shell out (easy) and I want to install it as a cut out so you dont see the stock bars behind it. Any suggestions??? I guess I could just start cutting but I would like some advise first. I wish they didn't mount the brackets for the shell on the inside part or else this would be really easy. Also, any suggestions for the side pieces and the hood grille? Do the stock parts come out or do you just bolt over. I want this to look as clean as it can be. Thanks.

Did it not come with instructions. If not, look on the makers website.

Mine was by GrillCraft and they had installation instructions that were complete.

i did a 3pc a week ago, it required the grille center to be cut out (i used a die grinder with a cut-off wheel) for the main install, then the two little side pieces were just pilot drilled and installed with a self tapping screw. couldnt say for the bumper and scoop inserts though.

Have you guys seen the smittybuilt Grills? I just installed one two days ago, it took about 15 min total for the bumper, upper and two corner pieces.

Here ya go, I just snapped these. This grill is a bolt over. So my original grill is underneath the new one. But you cant see it. I got the whole set for 182.00 dollars after tax. The grill is dirty, so there was some glare, we had some rain the last couple days

I still want to shave down the edges of the small corner pieces, they didnt fit as snug as the rest of the grill.

It is a Smittybuilt grill, came in two boxes. You can get them from 4wheel parts, online or from a store. The upper kit (3 Piece) was about $130 and the bumper piece was about $50. It has a good price, but the two corner pieces didnt fit that well, I am going to grind the edges a bit, maybe about 1/8th inch to make them fit a little better. The finish they put on is nice because they powdercoat the back of the assembly black so your orginal grill doesnt show through except for the emblem. It fits really snug without any vibration from driving, so I am assuming the original grill wont be too harmed if I were to take the billet off in the future.

Looks great. I like the way it brightens the front of the truck. Im gonna order one. I have the black flares also. Is there an opening for the emblem to show through or did you remove emblem and reattach it to the new grille insert?
