Great thread! Dealer just called to say my 11DC is ready for pick up tomorrow. Had them do the rear spring TSB and chirping blower motor. This helps a lot because I have been obsessing over what to do with the front. Gonna go with the billies at 1.75 now. Thanks for all the replies. Yes, I will post pics when done.

Also waiting to see picks, had the TSB done and have the 5100's in the garage trying to decide .85 or 1.75.
My truck didn't go up as much as I thought with the TSB in rear so now I am stuck deciding. I don't want to be nose high when hauling just 400-500 pounds.

Just looking at those pix I would say hit the 1.75 without a doubt... I was sooo on the fence but after seeing the difference in person I am glad I didn't set them at .85

Thanks for the insight, I am also worried about the vibration that some people get at 1.75. I was thinking .85 would be the safer choice.
I am going to wait and see how much my TSB settles before moving on.

Does anybody know how long it takes to settle and how much it will settle?

    Thanks

    Truck looks great BTW!

Front 5100s at 1.75. Rear TSB. LoRider tonneau cover. OEM bed mat. OEM bug deflector. Illuminated 4x4 switch. In cab AC outlets. 400W anytime. EGR in channel window visors. Black badges. Rear weathertech liners.
I'm at 1.75 and no vibes. I think the vibes can happen at 1.75 but I think it's rare. Most experience them at 2.5 or higher. I think. Good luck with the decision. As far as the TSB, it depends. If you put weight in it it will settle faster.

FWIW, I did .85 last week and am very happy with the results. It's a subtle change but noticeable and also doesn't make my stock wheels seem out of place.

After hauling 500# of dirt this weekend I'm glad I didn't go taller because it squatted enuff...I must be getting old.

I'll try and get some pix tonight.

I really want to do mine but I am on the stock 3 leaf. My question is though about the ride heights. Did everyone do a before and after measurement? Mine is 35 front (34 3/4 drivers side) and 37 rear sitting on the stock size tires of 265 70 16. I was playing with the floor jack the other day and thought I need 1.5 in the front to sit level and at where I'd like it. So I'm wondering how much lift I should get set at .85 vs 1.75? The OP's rear is only sitting 1/4 inch higher than my measurements on bigger tires and with the 4 leaf. I measured at the center of the wheels btw. So I don't know if .85 is enough and am afraid 1.75 might be too much. :goingcrazy:

    Rear TSB?

Mike, I am on stock 3 leaf. My RC "looks" close to level @.85...it is actually just shy of level, but I'm quite certain 1.75 would be nose high if I put so much as a case of beer in the back end.

I put the 5100s on to avoid rubbing and not for looks, but I do like the additional (albeit tiny) lift it gives.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure my sig was taken before the 5100s.

    UPDATE

Well after a few weeks of driving around and such the truck still sits at 37" front and 37.25" rear.

I ended up get some salt for my water conditioner last night and with 400lbs in the bed I got my dreaded nose up...

Needless to say I think there will be a 1" block installed sometime today.

But your truck is lighter being a regular cab and 4 cylinder. Also wouldn't the shorter wheel base make it more obvious?

I mostly am looking for before and after measurements to help me decide. Although I'd still be happy to level it even by 1 inch, just thought 1.5 looked better.

Maybe I should try to get the TSB done first. Not just for the "free lift", I have been disappointed when I've had loads in my truck. A couple of times I've have what I thought were light loads and it was almost on the bump stops. One time I tried to estimate the load and figured around 400lbs and was pretty evenly distributed also.

When I had my 2008 set at 2.5" with TSB rear I added a 1" block to the rear which made me .85" taller still (rear)... I would get the TSB, take measurements and install Billies

my soon to arrive 12 DC Sport should (by all accounts I've read) w/ the 4 leaf pack (32" tires waiting patiently for it to arrive :)), I don't mind a little rake so probably leaning more towards .85- thinking less pre-load on the springs, less drive line angle; of course the pics of the 1.75 lift are making it a tougher decision :D

are you guys noticing any differences left to right w/ your ride heights? I'll give mine a month or so to settle in before I do anything, but if I have much for difference I'm going to add a 1/4" spacer to the driver's side at the same time I do the front 5100's

I was wondering the same thing. My drivers side sits 1/4" lower now. I thought the lean came after lifting.

I think the fact that many of the heavier components are on the driver's side (battery, gas tank, etc) it's going to show itself lift or not
