    Hello fellow Tacoma enthusiasts!
I have just order my Bilstein 5100s and OME 885 Springs. I know that at the 0 height you gain 2.5 inches of lift with the springs alone. Is anyone running the 885 springs on the second height option, and if so how much lift is it giving you? Note: I have the JBA UCA for lifted trucks, so going up to 3 inches of lift will be easy to regain alignment. Also, I have the Icon AAL in the rear, so not too worried about "taco lean".

Do not pre-load a strut. So you should not be setting your Bilstiens on any other setting other than 0 when you have a longer coil.

Also you will need a spacer on the front driver's side to prevent Taco Lean. The rear won't lean on you, the front does.

It's worth pointing out the 5100s we're developed for use with the stock coils when adjusting their spring perch.

It is highly recommend that you do NOT preload any aftermarket coil with them. Not only are the 885 coils longer, but they are also a different spring rate than the factory coils.

If you want a 3in lift, send the 885s back and get 887s.

How are you liking your 887's without front armor? Rough ride?

Nope, I love the ride! I previously had 5100s @ 1.75 and thought the ride was stiff. In case you got the numbers confused, 886 are the stiffer coil meant for armor. 887s share the same spring rate as 883, 884, 885, and 888s.

I got 25 inches center of hub to bottom of fender with 885 @0. Don't preloaded the 885's

887s are the 4Runner coil correct?

The common consensus here is not to load the 885, not going to do it, I was just curious as to if it was possible! How is the ride with the 885's?

Not really sure about that :notsure:

I always refer back to this on Headstrongs site

    • OME 883: 375mm in height, 590 pound spring rate
    • OME 884: 390mm in height 590 pound spring rate
    • OME 885: 395mm in height 590 pound spring rate
    • OME 886: 402mm in height 660 pound spring rate
    • OME 887: 400mm in height 590 pound spring rate
    • OME 888: 405 mm in height 590 pound spring rate

It's possible, you'll just blow out your suspension.
