That looks like a nice leveled truck. May have to go this route myself.

I didn’t get the UCAs but had no problem with alignment. It’s near perfect and I did do a carrier bearing drop from OME. I’m what TWers call a mall creeper lol I don’t do much off-roading besides riding across farm land to get to the woods from time to time. Although in my town of 18,000 population we don’t have a mall. Lol but I’m very happy overall with it. No vibrations on mine

Do you have any hub to fender measurements?

Did you take your overload spring out for the 3leaf aal to sit at 1.5? I am looking at the same setup but am unsure of final height in the back. I would like to have a slight rake but not too much. 887’s with 3leaf aal plus sliders. Any info would be appreciated. Also are you on stock uca’s??

Edit: sorry I see u said that the OL was taken out. Thanks!

Gain a 1/2 inch up front so less rake but still noticeable. UCAs give me much better alignment options. Happier with the new setup, no vibes with either 885s or 887s.

Within a week for both, not much settling with either set, likely due to the initial weight of the toolbox, longbed and sliders.

The bottom pic was taken last week, a month after the 887 install.

    Thanks! That looks good.
Could someone tell me what the shim is for in the spring? Would I need this or carrier bearing with a two inch lift?

Here is a selection of shims from Headstrong Offroad

    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p119/Axle_Shims_-_(2_degree_to_4_degree).html

Typically you calculate 1 degree shim for every inch of lift so for 2 inches expect to go 2 degrees.

You would need to shim if you have vibrations, you CAN shim as a preventive measure whether you have vibes or not.

Here is a pic from TW that shows installation.

    Axle shim.jpg

    Picture from this thread

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/advise-for-install-axle-shims.71454/

I did not need to shim or do anything with the carrier bearing as I did not have any vibrations after install. I have 2 degree shims onhand in case I develope vibrations.

Thank you for clarifying. Would it be easier to just throw the shins in now or wait to see. Do u have to remove the entire pack to get the shim in. I don’t know a lot about suspension lifts but I am learning a lot. Appreciate the info!

Put the shim in when you do the AAL, both will go under the stock leaf pack.

Heres a pic of my setup without the shims, bottom leaf is the overload, then the 3 leaf AAL then the stock leaf pack.

    20170810_161042.jpg

Shims would be placed between overload and axle.

Yeah, no overload but I did add the 3º Shim under the leafs. My 2018 had smaller shims from the factory. I'm running the JBA UCA's - so far so good. Truck drives great!!!

I am curious if you have any center hub to fender measurements on all four corners. I added the HS 3leaf AAL with the OL taken out but my hub to fender is at 22.5. Stock offroad rear is 22 so by this calculation I am only 1/2 in rear. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Do you happen to have your front end hub to fender measurements? Trying to figure something out. Thank you!

I'd have to re-measure for exact but a word of caution, the new 887s seem to have settled to about the same height as I had on the older 885s. Height now appears to be about the same after a year.

EDIT: Measured this morning, bottom of fender to center of wheel is 22 inches on both sides.

Why are you all replacing the OE springs? Can't you get the same lift using the stock spring with the adjustability of the 5100? I understand a heavier spring if you are adding a bumper, but not just for a lift.
