Every ME-SO mod but Bro Pro tails and 3rd brake - SCS SR8's with 255/85R16 ST Maxx - Prinsu Rack with Cali raised 42" slim light bar - TRD Pro grill - SDHQ dual behind the grille light mount with 2x 32" light bars - Cali Raised low profile ditch mounts with Cali pods - BakFlip MX4 Tonneau - WARN Semi-Hidden winch mount bumper - Bilstein 5100's all around with OME 887's - Anytime front/rear camera - Matte black EGR in-channel window visors - Matte Black Nox-Lux Overlay/Tailgate inserts - Interior Blackout kit (incl. black Highlander door handles and Sienna mirror control knob)/Blue door sill/glove box inserts Still wanting: Pelfreybilt or Mobtown Off-Road rear bumper
EDIT: So I'm currently just running everything stock on my '17 ORDC. I just ordered a complete set of Bilstein 5100's for all around and OME 2887 springs

What i'm hoping to get now is advice with the following:

    - What UCA's would be best at a decent price?

    - Will I need a diff drop, and if so are there any real differences?

    - Do the 5100'S in the back require anything else i.e. aal's, bump stops or anything else?

And now is there anything i'm missing?

I am located in Canada but right on the border with MI. I do have a little bit of freedom because of that for shopping options, but with the current exchange I really have to shop around.

Thanks in advance for everyone's input and suggestions!

Are you planning on lifting the truck? If so a set of OME or headstrong coils will do the trick.

Full disclosure, I just bought my truck a week ago. But, I've been researching the 5100 lift for a couple days now and I'm going to answers these based on what I have picked up in my research. Please, someone correct me if I'm way off. I'm only regurgitating what I have read in these forums.

I'm going to assume that (like me) you're interested in the 5100s (2" front and 1" rear)

Springs- it's not a must to replace. Some guys will replace them since "they're already out". If your truck is new, there's probably no reason.

UCAs- from what I've gathered you really sont need UCAs if youre under the 2"-2.5" mark. Once you hit 3" you should probably get them.

Diff drop- Again, the higher you go, the more likely you will need it. I've read that staying under 2" you mkost likely will not unless you feel some vibe after install then get the drop.

Rear shocks- in the videos of installs it looks plug and play. I will probably install a 1.5 AAL for load capacity and to avoid bro lean. From what I've seen, the 5100 install by itself leaves the back end .5" to .75" lower than the front.

Again, this is my understanding based on what I've read. I am no expert and have no experience...yet ;)

I hope someone will correct me or back up my claims.

The rears will need an add a leaf in order to lift wont they?

U can use block, but they are worst case scenario

If you have a vibration after lifting and you are 4wd.... put it in 4wd and if the vibration goes away it's the ecgs and not the drive line.

Depends. If you lift it 2 in the front and 1 in the back a aal is good or a block. Anything else and may want to consider a new leaf pack. If the ride is to harsh you can remove the overload also

Do u guys have the same crap leafpacks that have been around since 2005?
In which blocks increase axle wrap and premature flattening?

Pretty sure we do, but you can use I believe shims at 3 degrees to cut back on the axle wrap. Axel wrap isn't to bad, it's the hard downshift into first gear thats harsh.

Your always going to lift with the spring, just on the oem springs need to be compressed (preloaded) to get the lift. The old man emu springs are longer and are a different spring rates to achieve with out prrloading the coil.

I would go ome over bilstein. I've had the bilstein 5100s on my Tacoma and have replaced 3 of 4 in the last 2 years/30000 miles. Nothing excessive on them as far as conditions.

I'm still new, bare with me. So, if the spring needs to be preloaded I need a spring compressor to do it myself but the OME spring rate doesn't require me to preload the spring for install?

Not really unless your trying to put it on the top perch.
Put the shock into the spring, slide the top of the shock bolt into the top hat. Then secure the lower shock mount in and put the bolt through. Then use a floor jack under the lower control arm and jack it up into place. Then put the bushings and washers on.

Thanks for the input so far.

I'll be ordering a set of OME 2887's.

I guess I should have mentioned also that I do intend on getting an SSO, SOS or Warn or other similar, semi-hidden winch bumper. So adding the OME 2887's will help for the eventual added weight.

As for the rear, AAL, I've done leafs so many times on older vehicles and those of friends, that I'm not overly concerned at this point. If I decide to put one in it's not a difficult process and fairly quick and easy to obtain.

I'm more concerned for the front diff drop and UCA's

EDIT: UCA's I'm leaning toward the SPC Light Racing 25470
    Would that work?
