correct me if i'm wrong, but I don't think "spring compression"actually figures into the equasion, the weight of the truck compresses the spring at a set rate, regardless of where the perch is located,i could almost say that that since the spring is solidly seated in the upper area, that the idea of preload would seem to be valid, but i'll have to stick with my original idea.

OP, how much were your shocks and where did you order them from? I'm trying to figure out what the bare minimum is required to level my truck.

    Thanks for the Insight @DCSBFTMFW

I'm looking for a subtle lift (2inch) would you recommend this Kit from headstrong? the price is just right and appears to be the best for a (Good capable lift)
Im a noob on the measurements but this would be ideal for a 2 inch lift in the front and a 1.5 in the rear? they said the measurements from front to rear on the 2016 tacoma is 21inchs in front and 22inches on the rear... assuming you are measuring from the center rim to fender. does this mean i have a 1 inch difference from front to rear? and need to lift the front 2 inches while also adding 1inch to the rear? im so confused

    Coil/Bilstein 5100 lift Kit (part # HS05BK-1) - $577.99

You need to measure your actual truck to see what you need and what the height difference is front and rear.

That's a great kit. You could also run 5100s with your stock coils and do a progressive 3 leaf AAL in the rear for about the same price, if not a bit cheaper. If it was me, I'd be more inclined to get that lift kit you linked to and swap the rear single AAL for the 3 leaf progressive AAL, which they probably also sell.

Maybe @HeadStrong Off-Road can make a custom package for you and include it.

I'll be ordering the Icon 1.5 AAL kit from HeadStrong here in the next couple weeks.

Headed in for an alignment tomorrow morning. Have a tad bit of positive camber up front with the 1.75 setting so need to get that sorted ASAP. \-/

Thanks much. Once I get the AAL I do a final measurement, but this will hold me over until the spring then jumping to a full Icon Stage 2 setup.

    Good afternoon SandyTRD87:

The kit you linked is a really popular kit. One of the nicest features is that you can pick and choose which coil you would like to go with in order to fine tune your lift height. On a stock double cab 4x4 the OME 884X coils will get you approx. 2" of front lift. Typically you can either use those by themselves as a "leveling" option or with the add-a-leaf (whether the single leaf or progressive aal) in order to closely maintain the current factory stance. It is always recommended to measure your truck before hand so we can determine which coil will get you the lift you are looking for as well as the end stance you are hoping to achieve. We can substitute items in our kits to suit your needs as well as build custom kits for you. If you have any questions feel free to PM me and I will do my best to help you out.

    Have a great day! :)

Any know the measurements from the ground to the underside of the flares? How much lower is the front (ie-how much rake)?

@Dean724 Do you have anymore pictures since you've had it aligned? I just put on the same tires and am about to order the 5100's. I've got the exact same truck except 4x4, and I'm curious if I could see your truck from a couple more angles it looks amazing.

Took it to Toyota today for an alignment. They actually went off 2015 Tacoma specs. My biggest issue is camber because I'm set at 1.75. I will be bringing it back down to .85 and would suggest the same to anyone putting 5100s on a 2016 with stock UCAs. They maxed out the camber and caster as much as they could and it's still a tad slightly off, but within safe driving conditions Everything else they could get within spec. I'll take some more pics of the truck a little later, but here's the alignment sheet.

Sport 4x2 here. Thinking of putting 5100s in the front at. 85 with KO2s. Debating if I wanna put stock size or go a little bigger. What you guys think? What setup you guys running? It's my daily driver. I wanna keep it close to stock but with a little more aggressive look...

I think you nailed it. I would suggest 265/75/16. That's the exact setup I will have next Wed. I already have the KO`s, just need to get it installed.
