Bilstein 6112 3rd gen on 2nd

Locally have a chance of buying a gently used set of Bilstein 6112s with mode number 24-234405. Now I have read where others have talked about this. But nobody has a definitive answer of no I tried it and it won’t fit, or yes I tried it and it fits. Thank you all in advance!

3rd gen Tacomas do not come with 6112s?

Yea I know tacomas don’t come with 6112s. I wish they did! I’m talking about the difference in buying aftermarket. The model number for the gens. They are different. The ones being sold are the model number that are for a 3rd gen. But I am wondering why they wouldn’t fit a 2nd gen. The part number for the 2nd gen I found are 47-309975 as for the 3rd, they are the 24-234405. Thank you for assisting. I will read through that post. Hopefully I find what I’m looking for, I didn’t see it before.

 

I think I read somewhere the 3rd Gen version are valved differently than the 2nd Gen models.

 

Other than that, they should fit? I’m hoping so! I can get all 4 6112’s for the same price as some take off, off roads.

 

They fit both gens.. what do you mean all 4? The rear? Definitely wouldn’t be 6112. Maybe 5160 or 5100, something like that.
