Hey how much lift can I get away with before needing UCA's and/or diff drop kit?

The standard is usually 2.5 inches in the front before an aftermarket uca is necessary for articulation purposes but it isn't a bad idea to put one on anyway due to the strength and stability of them compared to the OEM ones and a lot of people don't use the diff drop for multiple reasons. Some people think it will help with the front axle angle others think it will cause more harm than good. I have it at 2.15 inches in front with jba uca's and no diff drop and I am fine.

Replaced 885/5100 set on 0 (22 1/4" hub to fender -1.5 " lift from stock) with 2nd gen 6112 on the 3rd clip on a 3rd gen TRDORLB. Was shooting for a similar 1.5" lift with the new 6112 setup but seems like only got 0.75" Hub to fender now is 21.5 both sides after adding 6112s, so I lost 0.75" Probably should've went with the forth clip

How does the ride quality and performance compare to the 5100's?

Much better ride quality than the 5100s as others have mention on here. Soaks up bumps well and is soft but not real floaty. Haven't been off road with them yet so can't comment on that but I suspect I'll see big differences off road as well....for me definitely worth the upgrade

Got mine installed today and on the short drive home noticed a huge improvement. I was running stock shocks and coils.
My set up is 2nd. Gen DCLB with steel plate bumper, steel skids and winch. I have a 4inch spacer lift on the front.
Decided on #2 clip setting with ¼" spacer for lean. According to the chart it was supposed to give me 1.5" of lift. I ended up at 2" and I'm ok with that and hope it settles ½". I now have no lean and am ½" higher than the back. Just need an alignment.

This discussion is a month old or so, but is the eibach 650 lb. 14" spring identical in all respects to the bilstein spring. Can it be used on the 6112 shocks?

I said it a few pages back. 95% of the coils/springs are made by eibach.

That said I run 650 eibach with my 6112s.

I’ve had my 6112’s for about a year and a half (35k miles) and a suspension shop did the original installation. I started chasing a clunking noise that happens while turning and articulated. I noticed that I can spin the washers under the top nut with my fingers. The nut can’t be tightened any more. I’ve tried several searches on TW and not found anything like this. Is this normal? Could this be the source of the sound?

    No.
    Yes.

It sounds like the rubber bushings are destroyed.

Can you post a picture of the upper mount?
