I have 6112 set to 1.75/2.25" (passenger/driver) and I have 16x8 0 offset wheels with 255/85r16 Toyo M55 and honest to god after removing the mud flaps I have no rubbing.

This has been thoroughly flexed off road. Zero trimming. I also have a great alignment. And the M55 measure big to boot, 33.4x10.8 I believe.

So I have 5100s all around and find the front a little stiff but was actually very happy and pretty surprised with the 5100s in the rear with a medium duty Dakar pack. If I did it again I would go 6112 front/5100 rear.

On the 6112, i see the clip setting state #5 = 2.59" of lift. Is that 2.59" the overall truck lift for the front end measuring from the center hub to lower fender well lip?

It's front only. Doesn't matter particularly where you measure as long as you're vertically aligned with the hub. Hub to fender / ground to fender / tire to fender you'll be around 2.5" higher after the lift.

Took mine about a month to fully settle so don't be too alarmed if you're at ~3"+ immediately after the install.

Yesterday I placed an order from Wheelers Off Road for my 6112/5160 combo. I also ordered 14" 700# Eibach springs because of the weight I've added. I asked for the 6112's to be setup on the 5/4 setting, but now I am thinking that is too high and it should be closer to the 1/2 setting? I only want to go about 1.5" higher than stock definitely no higher. For weight I have:
    • SSO slimline bumper (67 pounds)
    • 10K Smitty synthetic winch (85 pounds)
    • RCI skid plate set (IFS, tranny, & T-case) (123 pounds)
    • Mobtown Sliders (140 pounds)
    • Prinsu roof rack (40 pounds, maybe?)
    • Diamondback cover (80 pounds)
    • KB Voodoo bed rack, Hi-Lift, & 7 gallons of fuel (sometimes) (145 pounds)
    • CVT RTT (sometimes) (125 pounds)
    • PLUS whatever other camping / recovery gear I have in the truck on trips
Should I change the clip setting to go lower, or would I be okay at 5/4?

Question.... did Wheelers have the 5160's in stock? The place I ordered my 6112/5160 from was back ordered on the left 5160. The dealer expected the 5160's by the end of last month but as of yet I haven't seen anything.

    Thanks

Nope. He said they should be in sometime in July I think.

5/4 setting will give you exactly 1.5” after being settled, but that’s with 600lb spring it comes with. I would just say keep it at 5/4, with the 700lb. Not sure how cool you are if you lost to much lift vs gaining maybe an extra .5” at most if somehow hat happened with 700s

So you're saying worst case I'd end up at 2" over stock? I can live with that, especially since I've decided to just install the ECGS bushing and get it over with. I just don't want to end up sky high or somehow with a ride that is aggressively stiff.

1.5” lift I got when I was 5/4 was no added weight as a reference. I would highly doubt with all your weight you’d somehow gain 2” plus. If you went 6/5 setting you’d get just a lil over 2” I’d imagine. I’m running 6/5 with 650 currently.

Just to make sure you have a 2016 double cab 5ft bed with a v6?

Correct. V6 double cab 4WD. How much weight do you have on your front end with your 650# springs? I'd like to retain my rake, I don't want to level the truck. I ordered the 5160s and the Dakar leaf pack for the rear.

Ok. So if I wanted to be at 3" lift, I should look for something else instead of the 6112? I had plans on putting on bumpers, winch and some armor.

A lot easier just to show by pictures. I gained just a tad over 2”. Slimline bumper and mobtown rock sliders with kick out, and just the trd skid plate. Rear is 3” lift icon RXT with bilstein 8100 with mobtown HC rear with tube protection. With 350-400lb or so I still had like .75-1” of rake.

You could But with a spacer lol. Other wise coilovers that are preloaded to the max that will affect your ride and comfort severely if you wanted to maintain 3” with all that added weight. I’d suggest stay 2.5” range, but that’s just me.

Thanks. 6112 is a starting point. I can always upgrade later. I'm not gonna be wheeling hardcore.

Man your truck looks good! Based on your previous comments, the setup in those pictures is the 6/5 perch with 650# springs? And you're just over 2"? I have ~ 200 pounds more upfront than you with my winch and all three skids. So I'm feeling more confident that I"ll be right around 2" or less.

I see you have aftermarket UCAs. It's my understanding that I shouldn't need them. Did you find them necessary or more preventative for future mods?
