Just reading through. Thought I'd share my results. I am driving in the 3/4 notch with no rear lift, 5160s and stock leaf pack. The front sits about 1/8 inch higher than the rear. To the eye, it's pretty level. I can only imagine that if you added an AAL, you will have to jump it up to the 4/5 or 5/6 settings to get your truck leveled. Here's a picture of my truck. I forget the exact measurements, but I gained about 1 inch in the front and the truck looks leveled with no weight.

I do tow an aluminum bass boat and the front gets nose high when I do. I plan to either lift the rear soon or get some Sumos.

Wonder if it would be safe to say that, setting the fronts to the 4/5 notches and adding a medium Dakar with the larger overload spring removed, the truck would sit relatively level without a loaded bed.

It won’t be level, you’ll have rake. I have the dakar mediums with a hard shell topper (long bed) and have the 6/5 clips up front. With this I have 1” rake.

6112s Top setting ,medium duty Dakar’s with 5125s . I’m real close to level and I was hoping for 1/2”-1” rake . I do have a new frame and LCAs from Toyota ,don’t know if that makes a difference . Old frame and old LCAs with 6112s and stock leafs with 2” AAL and I had a perfect 1” rake .

He has a 3rd gen. May be significantly different in clip setting? Not sure.

I do have a 3rd gen. I'm just trying to get a feel for what I have to do to bump up an extra .5 inch in the front and maybe 1 inch in the rear (should net me close to a .5 rake). At this point, it either sounds like I need to go full out 2 inch lift in front/rear or slap a 1 inch rear block to achieve the minimal lift I am looking for.

AAL + 5/4 setting may work

Still trying to piece together people's gains from AAL. Seems like a lot of folks are still achieving quite a bit of lift from an AAL.

You don't happen to have any measurements do u? How much rake do you have with this setup? Was there any weight other than the bed rack when you took this photo?

If you're talking about a 3-leaf AAL, the lift you get is just the thickness of the 3-leaf pack. Then whether or not you keep the overload leaf in. So 3-leaf AAL w/o overload 1.5", with overload 2" or so. Generally little increase in unloaded spring rate near equilibrium at least on factory leafs that I can tell. Where it shows up more is with a load or tongue weight from a trailer., or larger bumps involving more suspension travel.

A single leaf AAL, which I would not recommend, the lift is from the stiff arch of the AAL. This gives the lift and stiffer overall rear. I didn't like the one I had. Currently running 3-leaf AAL w/o overload on newish TSB springs, it is pretty good for my needs.

Dang this is a long thread! Been reading this for 2 days and only on page 47.

Ordered my 6112/5160 from Headstrong the other day for my 2019 AC OR. Also have a new leaf pack being made to raise the rear 1.5-2.0”.

I asked Headstrong to set the 6112 on the 5th perch setting which should raise the truck 1.65” according to Bilstein and should match the new level in the rear. Any issues with that?

I’m also forgoing the upper control arm until deemed necessary due to bad alignment possibly after install.

ECGS bearing..... don’t know if I should replace it during the install or not. I see some strong opinions of some who highly recommend doing it. I wonder how many out there didn’t replace it and never posted about it.

Anyway I hope this turns out ok. I don’t like messing with stock setups unless it’s a faulty product. Went down a rabbit hole a few years ago with a 2012 Mustang GT.

Chime in if anyone has any advice or opinions on my install please.

5th will be a little high at first depending on the rear that you get

I know you want to wait for the uca's......better to get it done all at once, JBA's is the way to go

ECGS bearing......JUST DO IT!!!!! No bad only good.

Who's building your leaf pack? Also, for reference, I set my 6112s at the 3rd and 4th notch and got ECGS vibrations. Minimal modest lift and felt the vibes right away.
