I ordered the ECGS and new UCA after getting good advice here. Also, I changed my mind on the leaf springs since I found a special on Wheelwell.com.... I ordered Skyjacker Softride leafs.

So I read through this entire thread before purchasing, a ton of good information in here so thanks to all who posted about their set up! Having said that I decided against an aftermarket UCA and ECGS. I’ve only driven about 10 miles on this set up and so far it’s a dream. So glad I went the 6112/5160 route.

Unfortunately I don’t have measurements but I went the 6/5 route for the max 2 inches of lift up front. And for the rear I chose the Toytec (Deaver) 3 leaf AAL WITH overload. The only time I ever wheel this thing is when it’s fully loaded with camping gear/coolers/etc so it seemed like a better choice

Looking at the level of your truck I’m glad I ordered mine set at perch 5 as well. I’m hoping for just a slight rake like yours.

    Looks great!

Thank you! I dig the rake as well, hoping for everything to settle a bit, I feel like my 285s look small now haha

Any rubbing issues with your 285s? I know there are tons of threads about 285's, but curious what your experience is.

I’m curious about the rub too. I’m undecided on 285/75r17 or 285/70r17. I think either one will require a cmc and trimming.

285/70r17 might need a CMC depending on what setting you have but isn't overall necessary. You might only get rubbing at full chock in reverse though. 285/75r17's you will need a CMC

FYI 2” lift 2.9 caster, 1.25 wheel spacers, 285/75/17 with -10os wheels, aggressive cmc and pinch weld. I slightly rub in reverse in my driveway and didn’t even notice. Some paint was gone on the mount. New alignment of 3.2+ should fix.

I definitely need a CMC but the rub isn’t that bad for normal driving with me. I do not rub full lock either forward or reverse but if I’m turning into a driveway around near full lock (75%-80%) ((not even sure how to describe that honestly)) I will rub. Off road is manageable at slow speeds but if I’m going too fast around a corner while the wheels are articulating it’ll rub. For me though it’s really not that bad and I just drive accordingly. Hope this helps

Awesome set up ! You running spacers. I saw on the jba website that there UCA’s are not compatible with the 255s glad to see someone did it

I'll pitch in. I have JBAs and you do need a spacer to run 255. I've got 1.25" spacers with NO CMC and after very minor trimming get 0 rub in any conditions

***Edit for info, I'm on stock 3rd gen TRD OR wheels. Spacers are needed to, effectively, reduce the backspacing on the wheels.

True, I'm running stock wheels, should have specified in my post

JBA has required back spacing listed on the site for many popular tire sizes.

I'm gonna add an OME AAL to get it closer.
285/75/16 Toyo M/T will touch the BM at full lock with turning momentum. BMC coming soon also.

This is mine with a 4/5 setting and a 3 leaf AAL with overloads removed. I still have about a 1/2" or so of rake. The front will probably settle a bit in the coming weeks.

Your truck looks great, and saw on Speed Freek thread that you're running Camburg UCA's- curious what influenced you to replace stock UCA's? Also what tire size are you on and could you have gotten away with just running stock leaf springs? Not that you should have - I'm trying to figure out the bare minimum I can get away with for now...

I replaced the UCAs because I was redoing my suspension anyway and it kind of "future proofed" me in case I wanted to go wider or taller down the road. I could have just used my stock UCAs but the Camburg's weren't that expensive honestly. As for the rear, I doubt keeping the stock leafs as is would have been good since the 3-leaf AAL gave me 1.5" of lift allowing the truck to sit level, or in my case with a slight rake. Overall I paid $1700 for everything which fit into my budget. It would have been $1200 without the Camburgs.

My tires are 275/65/18 which did rub with my stock suspension on the fender well plastic.

Wow, can you elaborate on how noticeable the vibe is? I get a slight drone 30 mph, thought it was wind a few times but more and more thinking not, and on accelerating I can often feel the slightest of vibes in the gas pedal (not the steering wheel though) that I thought was a bit unusual.

Might take it in to have looked at before lifting- all I've done to it so far are 265/75's on SCS Stealth 6's (-25mm offset). Or maybe I'm just paranoid...

Well I know I did not have the needle bearing vibe before installing the 6112’s, so my first spin after the install I was listening for it...it’s definitely noticeable but subtle. It a pulsing vibration that you hear and feel and is there every time while driving. Next time you hear it shift to 4hi, if it’s the needle bearing it will disappear.
