Does anyone know how the ride on these compares to the trd pro fox setup? Last truck had the pro fox. I’m looking at doing the 6112’s, and just wanting to know what to expect.

Awesome, thanks. I'm not running a U bolt flip, but I've done 2 AAL's and Dakars on this truck so installing a shim should be a breeze. Didn't get a chance to measure last night but I will tonight.

Has anyone tried 650LB springs on the 6/5 setting on a 3rd gen with no extra weight? Do you think doing a 5/4 settings with 650 lb springs will give you a 2" lift or it doesn't increase height.

From numerous post experience, and having 6112's myself starting with 600lb springs then upgrading to 650 lb springs, though it is in a 2nd gen, please start with the 600lb spring and only go up if you add or have weight. Your ride will be too stiff and ruin the reason why you got 6112's to begin with. It wont go past 2" it will just make it worse of a ride. Please begin with 5/4 with 600lb springs and go from there. If you want, buy them with the 650lb bilstein springs but not have them put together. I can sell you my old 600lb springs for $40, and save you some money when you want to go up to 650lb ones because you will already have them. Getting them now will be the same price but adding them on later will cost you $180. Even if you don't grab them from me, then get them with the 600lb springs and start from there.

Im looking to get a set of 6112s for my 2020 OR 4x4 double cab short bed. The only additional weight will be sliders. I'm looking to have right at 2" of lift and avoid a harsh ride. On Headstrong's webpage, they show 2" lift with the clip at 5/6 setting. Would the ride be better if installed at 5/5 with a 1/4" spacer to account for the lean?

I would try it first with the spacer because you might not need it. It can always be changed afterwards

Use the spacer first. Then see where you are at. Some people go right for the 5/4 or 6/5 setting. This may help at first but it will put 2 different preloads into each side or the trucks shock.

That’s why I was thinking. I’ll be doing even preload with the spacer if needed.

With the spacer there will not be a preload because both of the springs will be under the same tension within the spring. The spacer will be evening up the height on the drivers side. Doing the 5/4 or 6/5 will be be putting the spring tension under 2 different preloads. While some look at this as a way to even things up, while going over bumps or wheeling,, each side will react differently to the terrain.

Exactly, that’s why I was questioning the offset preload and going to even pre-load with a spacer on top.

    A few quick questions:
Am I right in reading that a 1/2" spacer will give an 1" lift? (so really a 1/4" spacer is the way to go if I have 1/2" difference?)
And the difference in performance from driver side to passenger side will be noticeable if set to 6/5?

ok- spacer ordered. It's funny because in the last week I found myself looking for holes or bumps I could hit with each front tire to try to compare. I thought there might be a slight difference, but was starting to drive myself crazy trying to figure it out. Will switch from the 6/5 I've had for a few weeks to 5/5 or 6/6 with spacer when I replace the 1" Deaver springs I ordered with Deaver stage 2 U402's.

Speaking of... gotta mention that Deaver was extremely understanding and accommodating when I realized the 1" lift HD spring set wasn't going to keep me level or happy with 300+lbs in the rear. For a total noob (me) who made the wrong decision to get taken care of like that... well I just can't say enough good stuff about a company that runs their customer service that way. Thanks to Scott over at Deaver- class act.

6112 front 5160 rear. 3rd gen version of the shocks. No add a leaf yet. Fronts on 5/6 notch. got2" out of it (forgot to measure sorry). Has a little bro lean but not too bad. Rides like a dream! Will be doing an add a leaf in the next week or two to fix the bro lean and lift the rear.

Will you go into detail on the rides like a dream part? I really want to go this route, but I don't want to ruin the ride. Not that it's just amazing as is.
