I concur about driving like a dream. I have mine at 4/5 with an AAL and it drives like I'm on a cloud.

Nobody can tell me how it compares to the pro suspension? I’ve had 3rd gen pro, 3rd gen stock, and 2nd gen 5100’s.

I'm debating the 6112/5160 kit or the fox stage 3 kit from headstrong Offroad. Is the fix kit worth the extra money? I'm only looking for a half to one inch lift in the front, nothing in the rear. Any opinions?

That’s a good question. Can I ask why the stage 3 and not 2 or 1?

Solid choice, nothing else needed till ya hit the 2” mark imo. Then I would advise upper control arms, bushing fix and prob some more height in the rear to be level or maintain factory rake.

I'd like to have the remote resi's in front if I'm going to spend more money on the fox setup. I'm really looking for a more comfortable ride on dirt roads and things like that.

Oh, then if you want those options, I’d guess fox would be the choice.

Is it worth the extra money over the bilstein option though? That's what I'm struggling with.

that’s why I asked about stage 2. If it’s price you could look at that. If it’s the remote resi, then 6112 isn’t really option is it?

I edited my other post to be more clear, sorry about that. What I really meant was if I'm going to spend the extra money on the fox set up I might as well get remote resi's up front as well.

understood. Hopefully someone who has experience with both will chime in. Heard good things about the 6112 setup, and I’m just trying to get a comparison to the fox trd pros. But it is a pretty big price jump to the stage 3. I’m sure it’s nicer, might be hard for someone who went from 6112 to the fox to admit it wasn’t worth the extra cost.

I honestly don't know anyone that put the 6112 on their trucks ever took them off and upgraded. I don't know if you ever needed to. The only thing that might be considered an upgrade is if you went to kings after the 6112. I have never had the fox shocks but I have had people who did have them on their trucks drive my truck and stated that mine rode the same and they felt they wasted their money. I am in nooooooo way putting down fox in any way, but for the price and the fact that you do not need to rebuild them, like fox after a number of years, the 6112 is a no brainer. Why do you think that they are hard to keep in stock and so many places have waiting lists. You can not beat it for the money.....hands down.

I’m not a fox guy or anti fox, I had a pro, the ride was nice, very nice on road, good enough for me in my Offroad situations. Now that I traded into the non pro, I can choose my suspension, and I know I can do better than the pro, I just don’t want to take a step back. If it’s as good as the pro was, that’s probably good enough for my use. I put a lot of miles on my 5100’s on my 2nd gen and never had any issues, so I appreciate bilstein reliability and quality. So I’ve been leaning toward the 6112. I guess if I go that route I can report back my comparison.

No, Marie at headstrong says they don’t really discount them any further than they price them normally. But it’s worth looking around this time of year anyway

It was just a smooth ride, it still a truck so don't expect Cadillac style ride, but was alot more comfortable on road. The back end stopped having that bounce/fish tail feeling like it does stock. My aal doesn't come until next week so not sure how that will effect the rear. It also was amazing off-road. Took it out to the beach and ran some whoops at high speed. No real jarring feeling, flexed it some on the dunes also and it went great. Very comfortable and smooth.
