So I decided to email Bilstein about installing a spacer as well. Here is their response:

$568 is a killer price. That's what I paid for mine 3 years ago AFTER a $45 discount.

Those are actually the same ones as the E4-FD1-Z562B00. The number that you gave is the purchase number to order through bilstein or a dealer. The E4-FD1-Z562B00 number is the number on the springs itself. They are made for the 6112 or 8112 when you have an extra 80-140 lbs up front.

It's just the install sheet / instructions. But those roughly state to correct Taco lean, raise the clip on the driver side 1 clip position higher than the passenger side. So if you want max lift that would be 6/5 position. Less lift 4/3 position etc.

I have 5100's and have no lean. 55k on them about 3yrs old. They have been great.
I was curious about this and if when people add weight to the front causing this.

I will still do what they suggest going back and forth with suspension options and this with 5160' and air bags should do it.
    Thank you

The toyota lean also applies to 4runners. When I had 5100 on my 4runner I set them up evenly. I didn't notice a lean.

What I do know is the battery, fuel tank, and you the driver are all on the driver side of the vehicle. This means the truck is heavier on the driver side causing it to lean.

So im about to pull the trigger on these but can't decide on top setting with AAL in the back or on 5/4 setting with a shim to level and no AAL. I do a lot of off roading and love high speed washboards etc..

A little worried about preloading it all the way. Has anyone run both settings and can chime in? or any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

6/5 setting with aal, ended up 1/2" higher in the rear. I like how it rides. On and off road.

If your 5100s are using the OEM springs, then you wouldn’t get the lean. The factory springs compensate for the lean and are different on the passenger and drivers side. This is just what I’ve read on here. Haha.

I'm running 4/5 with 3 leaf aal and the ride is amazingly good. Not harsh at all and way better than stock OR setup. I have about 1" of rake which is what I was going for.

Update: Suspension must have settle a bit and the vibration that was very slight is totally gone now. I'm not going to do the bushing at this time as I cannot feel anything in terms of a vibration. Getting an alignment next week and should be perfect after that. Loving the new suspension on a new truck.

It's 100% fact. From the factory they come with taller spring on driver side.

MVIMG_20191213_170704.jpg My 6112/5160's came in today. Wow, maybe I'm just naive, but the 6112's are MUCH more stout than I thought they'd be. Very pleased.

    Girth baby. They are beefy.

Edit: if you lived close to me, I'd come help you install them. Make sure to report back once they are on the truck and you go hit some dips or off road.

Who has experience with high speed desert running with the 6112/5160's? How do they perform?

I do several dirt bike trips a year to the desert and want to be able to bring my girlfriend and mob in the tacoma. Wondering if I should maybe look into something with more performance like king or if these still do pretty good
