    What do you have in the rear? Is the lean just on the driverside front or mostly in the rear?

    Hey guys. Is 3/2 the right setting if I want to keep the factory rake on a 2014 v6 sr5 AC when putting on an Icon aal with no overload? Torn between 3/2, 4/3, or 3/3 with a spacer. Would probably rather gain the fractional increase in ride quality over ground clearance but dont want my ass up too high. Also throwing on a leaf pack from a 2019 TrdOR when I do this all but dont think that should effect my rear too much.

    Just adding to the pile on this thread after just installing:
    6112 front (6/5 clip setting) and 5160 rears with Icon AAL 1.5 kit (left overload leaf out per Icon recc.)
    Added the Front Diff drop kit and the OME carrier bearing drop kit

    After driving all settled into within 1/4" or so of each other on height (shell installed so that likely drops the rear down a little) but at moment it's just about completely level.

    During first test drive, I have the talked about vibration and just ordered the ECGS bushing/needle replacement to hopefully remedy this issue. Otherwise the ride feels decent and it soaks up large bumps better than the stock OR Billsteins for sure.

    I ran 3/3 with spacer + 3 leaf no overload and was near level if not having a smidge of rake. 3/2 would likely get you what you want, but you're access cab and a little lighter.

    Got the 6112s installed with new SPCs uppers and front super bumps. Ended up going with the bilstein B110 for the rear for some extra down travel instead of the 5160s. So far I am happy with the ride with the 650lb springs on the 4th notch. I will get some more pictures and measurements once it settles some. Thanks to @crashngiggles for helping me out and answering all my questions.:thumbsup:

    ground to fender about 38.5” fronts and 39” rears

    I'm going to add a leaf to my MD Dakar pack to convert the MD into a HD pack. I added a cap, and the weight of the cap, plus RTT and the remaining camping equipment are making the rear sag more than I would like. It was questionable before the cap, but I've decided to add the leaf to the pack now.

    Previously I have not needed any shims, but I did do the CB drop. I am assuming now I will probably need shims. For those that have the HD Dakar pack, what degree shim did you end up needing? I'm thinking of ordering the 2.5 and 3 degree shims and starting there to see how things go.

    Am I correct that the smaller side of the shim faces front and the thicker part in the back?

    I also have on my driver's side to correct taco lean. Can I still use this and would it go above or below the tapered shim? I'm thinking it would go beneath the shim in between the axle and tapered shim.

    I have el095r Dakar’s with the added leaf for the increased spring rate. I only have the CB drop, no shims, no vibes.

    Ok. So you did what I'm going to do. What else beside the leaf did you need? I have the leaf and a longer center pin. Plus hardware for the shims assuming I needed them.

    For the leafs, I added the leaf with the stock center pin that comes with the Dakar’s, and I got extended Ubolts.

    In 2018 I maxed out B6112 to top 6th setting on both sides and added 1/4" spacer on the driver side + 700lb w/ stock factory weight. LOL

    Did you have the stock u-bolts when you were running the MD pack? I bought aftermarket u-bolts when I installed it, I'm thinking they will still be long enough for the HD pack too.

    For the shims aspect, every taco is different. The extra added weight will help minimize the vibes or need for shims. Since you have the DCSB, the drives haft angle will be a little bit more extreme but you won't know until after you put in the AAL. The pin that you got for the 1/2" block will work but you might need an extension ring to add to he bolt to add the shim if it is necessary. If you need one, I have an extra you can have. I ordered it and never used it because I have the DCLB and have less of an angle to worry about. With my heavy leaf pack I get a very small vibe at 40mph but it is very slight. I am running the cap and with weight in the rear, I don't get any vibe at all. I do have a 2nd gen though. If you do add shims, measure your angles first to give you an idea of what shims you might need. If you do shim it, yes, the small end goes towards the front. Your ubolts should be OK, as long as you have about 3/4" of threads over the nut after it is torqued down now before the AAL.

    *** Update: I have now installed Bilstein 650lb springs and love it!

    Below are some measurement notes I emailed to myself.
    ===============
    August 2017
    Bilstein 6112 & 5160 + AAL & Overload leaf.
    Front driver side: 21" initial > 24" right after > 23.25" after about 2 weeks
    Front passenger: ..?.. initial > ..?..right after > 23.5" after about 2 weeks
    Rear driver: 22" initial > 25" right after > 24.5" after about 2 weeks
    Rear passenger: ..?.. initial > ..?.. right after > 24.75" after about 2 weeks
    ===============
    June 2018
    After two weeks with King 700lb springs, 6112 on notch #4, HD Dakar full leaf pack + Overload leaf
    Front driver/Middle of hub to fender: 24” on driver side and 24.5” on front passenger)
    Rear driver side & passenger side/Middle of hub to fender: 26” on both
    ===============
    Few months after July 2018: I revisited the shop again to increase the notch from 4 > max 6th because the 33s tire was rubbing a tiny bit when going over a dip and the rake as little too much with the HD Dakar + Overload leaf. Kept the 700# coil (700lb spring) and kept the 1/4” spacer on the driver side.
    ===============
    Today April 20, 2020 - it’s been about/over 1.5 years later on this setup (6112 at max 6th height + 700lb coils).
    Measurements as of today 4/20/20:
    Front driver side/passenger side, hub to fender: about 25” for both, maybe give or take 1-2cm.
    Rear passenger side/hub to fender: little over 26”
    Rear driver side/hub to fender around: 25.5” (not sure why this is sitting about 1" less than the rear passenger side).
    ===============
    The ride is not ideal because i don’t have the proper after market weights (armors) in the front. I have added a slider few months ago and it seems to have helped a very tiny bit or maybe it's just all in mind :crazy: . I keep wanting to replace the 700# with a 650# but then i think about adding armors instead. Lately just don't wanna spend any more money (than I’ve already spent on suspension, wheels, tires, ReGear 5.29 & more) and just trade-in for Tundra TRD Pro in few years for the roomy interior for the fam and V8!
    With all that said, the ride is definitely & noticeably better when theres someone riding next to me in the front passenger seat!
    Alright that's all the ramblings for today. :hattip:

    Some pictures I took just now:

    Thanks Jared. I did order extended length center pins and center pin head extenders to go with any shims I might need. I had to cut the center pin that came with the 1/2” shim, I’m sure it will be too short to use now. These are the pins I ordered from headstrong. How do they compare to the extension ring you’re talking about?

    Yes, those are the ones I was talking about. The only thing is that the block would have to go down first, then the shim, then the leaf. If you wanted any help I would be more than happy to help you with it.....if you were willing to drive to MA anyway.
