    It doesn't.

ADS and King are identical. 6112s aren't in that league.

    @REDdawn6

Read here regarding 6112 vs 5100s.

They're not a high performance coilover like King/ADS/Fox.
    6112's HERE!

Will do. I work right next door to them. I'm lending my truck for some R&D for a few days. They said it should be ready Monday or Tuesday. I'm traveling all week so I probably won't get a chance to drive it till Saturday the 14th. Going to be a long week!

    Waiting to go in

Got my eye on this thread. I've been planning for a suspension upgrade a long time now. Originally wanted kings or fox all around, but the price is just out of my range ever since more bills started popping up.

This looks like the next best solution, I'm only able to wheel maybe twice a month.

Words CANNOT POSSIBLY convey my jealousy right now.

Also, for what it's worth, Bilstein's CS is top notch.

I shot them a message on instagram saying that the stickers that shipped with my shocks were destroyed beyond repair when they were shipped to me. Within about 3 days I had a USPS envelope full of all kinds of Bilstein stickers. No charge, no questions asked. Seems to be a really good company to do business with.

Hey @Sugar Silva if you think about it, ask the guys at Bilstein how often they'd recommend getting the 6112's rebuilt. I've read a ton of different places saying they'll rebuild them, but never said any kind of interval. I think the Fox/King/Icon recommendation is something like every 30k miles. Wonder what Bilstein's thoughts are?

Bilstein said that the only time you should need to rebuild them is if they are leaking oil, which means you have a compromised seal.

Last time I checked they said it was $115 per shock to rebuild. Also, it's only rebuildable by their factory in Poway, CA.

I'd be surprised if it was more than a day or two.

Very unlikely IMO that any of us would need this service.

I'm gonna beat on mine in the desert real soon. Can't wait!

I'll be sure to ask. I received an email from them Wednesday. They haven't had a chance to start on the truck yet. It's looking like it will be ready for pickup sometime next week.

This thread has some good info, like the rear brake line spacer part#-that should be added when installing the 5160's. Edit: This part does come with the 5160's now. And lift measurements and basic feedback. The TRD Baja set up is basically the same as the 6112, and 5160's.

So does that mean that their performance won't degrade over time unless they start leaking? (is that a dumb question?)

I know they have a lifetime warranty, heck I'd be surprised if a leaky shock wouldn't fall under a warranty claim anyway.

The limited lifetime warranty covers manufacturer defects. If you had one, you'd know about it by now most likely.

All shock absorbers and springs are wearable parts. The eye bushing is wearable. The rubber top hats are wearable. The internal seals, etc.

One day they will wear out. No set rules go to by. It all depends on how you use your truck and what kind of roads you drive on.

In all honesty I wouldn't worry about it at all. Just use and enjoy your truck, do visual inspections to insure everything is working fine periodically. The best test for your suspension is to drive it, you'll know if something is not right. :)

I can tell you that I beat the crap out of the TRD OR stock suspension for six years and it held up to lots off-road and on road travel. The leaf springs were quite depressing on that, but the coil / front shock was fine from what I remember.

The 6112's are very well made IMO. I think they are going to last plenty long!

I spoke with my contact at Bilstein. Really great guy btw, everyone I've spoken with there has been awesome. He wasn't able to get to my truck this week so I brought it home for now. I'm dropping it back off with him on Monday. I'll post pics when I pick her up and probably make a thread on how it drives.

I don't a '15, but i am putting on the same set (i.e., 6112's and 5160's) on my '13 TRD DCLB 4X4 Sport... do you have any numbers for the stock height of your DCLB pre-lift? I am wondering how much rake you have and if you are going to try to maintain the rake.
