    Stawk as FUCK!
How is everyone liking the 6112/5160 setup? I have a 2019 Sport 4x4 and feel like the suspension is doing work underneath, but not much cushion. I drove with a 300lb load in the back over the weekend and real like the plushness the extra weight gave. Just wondering if I switch to the 6112/5160 setup that I’ll be able to recreate that plushness, or better yet, improve on the plushness. It’s my DD and I take her off-roading occasionally. Just debating if dropping the money on the shocks and rear leaf spring will be worth the money, or just deal with it and save for long travel in a few years.

6112 are good. 5160 didn’t absorb the bumps offroad well for me and that’s with stock leaf pack with 3leaf aal and Icon RXT leaf pack. I switched out to 8100s and solved all my issues.

All depends on your personal needs. I don't plan on doing too much heavy wheeling and it's only a 2in lift so it really isn't overkill for daily driving compared to something like long travel. You'll love this setup if you are the outdoorsman who needs to get away for a few days or do some wheeling here and there but it's not exactly comparable to long travel for someone abusing the rig every weekend. From what it sounds like this setup is perfect for you. just did it myself and couldn't be happier!

8100's look like the bomb, but kinda pricey.

They should have an option for those who don’t need the bypass which would make them a lot cheaper.

I think I'm set on getting 6112/5160s and SPC UCA's, but I have no clue what leaf pack to get. The truck carries about 200-300 pounds full time with the GFC camper, and I'm gonna guess another 100 or 200 with full of camping gear and my bike+rack. I'm looking to have some rake when the GFC is empty.

Can I just add some leafs or do I need to replace the stock ones completely?

I'd like to grab this kit from HSOF but the language on the leaf packs confuse me... https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/s..._Kit_with_OME_Dakar_Leaf_Pack_(HS16BK-3).html

    • The "Medium Duty" leaf pack (EL095R) will provide approx. 2.75" lift (2005-2015 Tacoma) or 2.0" lift(2016+ Tacoma) while supporting 0 lbs - GVW
    • The "Heavy Duty" leaf pack (EL112R)will provide approx. 2.75" lift (2005-2015 Tacoma) or 2.0" lift (2016+ Tacoma) while supporting a constant load of 660 lbs.
I don't think I need a constant 660 lbs of support but definitely need more than 0.. does the medium duty pack really not support any additional weight?

    Thanks!

a few days later with alignment done. still really impressed with this budget lift.
when and if the time comes, looking to get some new wheels and tires. wanting a little wider wheel to fill the space of the fender. so maybe 8 or 8.5.
if anything, just looking to upgrade the tires for sure to a 265/75/16 if I end up keeping the stock wheels. Not looking to make any trimming or CMC anytime soon.

You need the heavy leaf pack. So maybe you’ll be around 2.25-2.5” lift with the weight your carrying. You can even buy an extra leaf if you go over 660lb and start sagging to much.

I'd get the heavy load, and if it's too much lift you can just take the overload leaf out, making it the medium duty pack. And if later down the road you add more weight, you can just put the overload back in.

I believe the medium duty leaf pack is rated for 300 lbs above the factory leafs

Installed the suspension in my driveway. Everything went very smooth. Went with 4/5 clips in front. I am super happy with how the truck rides. Let me know if you have any questions.

Looks good. Wouldn’t you want more caster though? Also I’m surprised even 2.6 caster is still in the green which means in normal range. I’m at 4 degrees with my JBAs and it’s def in the red lol.

you had to CMC and/or do any trimming to fit those 285s?
